This was our second visit to Provence Paradise and we had a Great time. We had a small family reunion and shared a couple of the homes on the property. The location of the property is so convenient to explore Provence and many of the nearby sites and towns. Provence Paradise is so unique and comfortable, the way it is decorated and the landscaping has your eyes constantly wondering.
I would recommend everyone that has an opportunity to stay a while.
After a long drive down from Paris, we were so pleased to arrive at La Bastide, where we were greeted with deluxe accommodations and incredible hospitality. We arrived to a gourmet meal hot in the oven, a beautiful cheese plate, and a lovely rosé chilling on the table. William saw to our every need--from suggesting the perfect place for a beach day (Cassis!), to arranging babysitting for a special anniversary dinner in town, to even finding us a beautiful church in which to attend a Saturday vigil mass. St-Remy was the perfect home base from which to explore Arles, Les Baux, Aix, Cassis, and the Pont du Garde. The accommodations were so lovely and the weather was so perfect that, in a way, we enjoyed the days we stayed in St-Remy most of all, especially when we took advantage of the lovely pool at Provence Paradise. We know we've only just scratched the surface of what Provence has to offer, so we will certainly be back!
We loved every minute of our week long stay at La Bastide. The location was perfect, the house fit every need, the recommendations were fantastic, William (the owner) was a gem. We would recommend this place to everyone that is looking to explore Provence or just lay back and relax.
We had a fabulous time at Provence Paradise - it is a beautiful collection of lovingly renovated houses with all that you could need for a week or a month away. The pool area is lovely with mature trees, plants and herbs. The nearby village has some lovely restaurants and be sure to visit a local winery (we went to Baux), just beautiful. William is a fantastic host bringing breakfast every morning and when our parents cases went missing he loaned his own clothes and even bought them some! amazing!
I think next time with young children we might look at one of the bigger properties with more outside space. It was sufficient and lovely at La Bastide, for us but if there was anything I would improve upon for our family next time, it would be to have a larger outdoor terrace. I know some of the others have this.
We would love to come back and see William, he really has got it right! thanks William (and of course your team).
My husband and son (15 yrs) stayed in Bastide and enjoyed the home very much. It was spacious for our family and was well equipped with all needs. The kitchen is small but efficient and well thought out. The whole property is a small wonderland that is lovingly cared for my William and his staff.
Upon arrival, there was a beautiful dinner waiting for us after our long travel day from California. Wine, local cheese, fresh Salmon with Herbes de Provence, rice, and salad. William greeted us and promised to return the following morning with ideas for our week of adventure.
William showed up with booklets and pamphlets with wonderful ideas for both our son and us. Offering to make the necessary reservations and tips for our daily trips. He even gave us a phone to use while there with his number incase we needed help or assistance with dinner reservations. It was like having your own private concierge ensuring your trip would be smooth and joyous.
As on the previous reviews, we too loved the fresh croissants delivered every morning. My son peeking out of the window to see if they had arrived. The overwhelming feeling of staying here was the sense that you were being well taken care of. Traveling extensively to many countries, that is a wonderful feeling to have when you are outside of your own culture and language.
The location was ideal. The town of St. Remy was darling. Part of us just wanted to spend more time in town, but there was so much to see in just a week, it prevented us from really meandering the streets and enjoying the sweet feeling of the locals who lived there. We will definitely return with more time to just Be in this magical place.
The Bastide was quiet and spacious for 3. I loved that it was lovingly restored without taking the old world charm out of the dwelling. I would like to add that their is two steep staircases within the home, so if you have any issues with that it isn't ideal. My husband has some orthopedic issues with his knees and ankle, so the flight up stairs up to our bedroom was not easy. There are several other options on the property however to choose from. Don't miss out on this wonderful place and William.
Thank you William for creating this haven of peace and giving us the space to create unforgettable memories while in Provence.
