“Fantastique is an understatement”

For the view alone, this place was worth every penny of the very reasonable rental charge. Two large sliding windows that give a view of the old port and out to sea towards Chateau D'if make the place so perfect you rush home in the evening to sit and watch the water traffic whilst enjoying the last of the sun.
Shutter type blinds are fitted so that you can keep the place cool whilst you are out doing the tourist thing
For position of the apartment block it is also perfect. Theres a small shop not two minutes walk that sells most things, including bottled water and beer, and there are bigger supermarkets within a quarter of a mile. Loads of restaurants and brasseries and coffee shops nearby, most with al fresco tables, and a vast selection not 10 minutes walk away at the Old Port. Lots of touristy shops museums and galleries as well.
Le Petit Train (which is a bit jerky) leaves from the Old Port area as does one of the hop on hop off tour buses
Everything in the apartment was excellent quality, and all the furniture was very comfortable.
There were loads of tourist books and information leaflets, and a folder of restaurant information.
The kitchen area, though small had all you need for a short stay, and the bathroom was nice and modern, with a good shower. Loads of hot water.
Lovely friendly owners- you need a bit of schoolboy French though as their English is limited.
Real value for money and I don't hesitate to recommend, particularly as entry is via a key fob to the lobby and the apartment door is practically impenetrable and the locks are very secure.

“Fantastic Location and view”

We stayed in this apartment for 6 nights. Its in a great spot, set back from the busy touristy Vieux Port at the base of Le Panier. There are plenty of good restaurants and breakfast places nearby, can recommend the square just up the road for a pre dinner drink and some serious people watching. Apartment is clean and roomy and the view truly magnificent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Excellent apartment with light and air and views over the Vieux Port”

Excellent location on the edge of the La Panier district and just a few streets back from the Vieux Port makes this a great spot from which to explore Marseille. The apartment is on the 14th floor of the tallest building in this area and so you get beautiful views day of the port and forts day and night. The apartment is very comfortable and self contained. The local area is interesting with a small square nearby that is good for recuperation. Our hosts were helpful and discreet. Don't miss Marseille it is a beautiful city with an amazing natural setting.

Well appointed studio apartment in central Marseille, with tremendous views. The building is fairly basic, but the studio apartment itself is spacious, well furnished and equipped. The delightful French owners live next door, which is handy. Their English is limited, so there is the added benefit of being able to practice your French! Some might find the bed a bit firm, and the addition of a floor-standing fan wouldn't go amiss. Sound levels are good, but this is an apartment in a city, so do expect some external noise. We made the mistake of assuming that mosquitoes wouldn't be a problem 14 floors up....mistake! Those critters will find you anywhere, so be sure to pack anti-mosquito measures. The property details specify a 300€ deposit, but this is worth checking with the owners before you turn up with a wodge of cash; we booked the apartment via Tripadvisor and no deposit was required All-in-all, highly recommended.
