“A real treat”
Reviewed 25 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Have just returned from a wonderful holiday with my family at this superb apartment. The photos don't do it justice and I could find no fault with this accommodation. We were met by Jane who manages the apartment. Jane was friendly, helpful and gave us some great advice on where to eat. We would have no hesitation on returning to Nice and would definitely want to return to La Belle Époque.

“Great apartment, great location”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We were met on arrival at the apartment by Jane who was so nice and helpful. The apartment was a pleasure to stay in, a couple of minutes from the sea and all the restaurants you could wish for. Loved the balcony and made great use of it. The size of the living area and kitchen was amazing and I imagine it would be very comfortable for a long let. Only downside was that the apartment had only one toilet.

“Totally cool apartment”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Great stay in Nice, this apartment is sooooo cool, lovely layout and so light and airy, amazing kitchen and bathroom, very well equipped and air conditioned with COMFY beds. Needs a mirror in the bedroom but apart from that no complains at all. Jane the manager is great, helpful and friendly.

“Conveniently situated lovely period property”
Reviewed 25 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We arrived at the lovely listed property and were warmly greeted at the main gate by Jane the property manager, who then gave us all the info and where everything is etc. She had got us a few supplies, milk etc and wine (which was much needed by then!), nice touch. The apartment was exactly as I had imagined, modern furnishings, up to date gadgets to keep the men happy, everything needed (right down to the potato ricer) to enjoy our stay. It’s very good if you want stay in a bit and to cook a bit yourself. The sun is shining on the balcony in afternoon/evening so it nice after a day exploring to come back and get comfy on the sofa and read a book or just watch the locals go by.
The bedrooms were good with very comfortable beds and the bathrooms clean and nicely fitted.
The only negatives would be that although there are two bathrooms, there is only one toilet which is next to master bedroom. The other is that myself and hubby had the second bedroom which was lovely but it got so hot in there we had to leave the doors open all night, as no air con or fan in there, we even kept the blinds shut all day in hope to cool it down.

“Fabulous flat in the heart of Nice”
Reviewed 9 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Staying in the Loft Belle Époque made our week in Nice extra special even though the weather was cool & rainy. While searching for accommodations there, I had four criteria (French ambience, quality rooms, reasonable cost, and convenient location), and this flat exceeded our expectations & needs on all points.

The loft was even more attractive in person than the online photos suggested, and we loved all its unique features from the moment we stepped inside. It is secure & private, yet ideally located near the grocery, bakeries, Promenade des Anglais, and tourist attractions like the Old Town & the Cours Saleya Flower Market.

The main great-room was huge, with walls of beautifully shuttered windows and modern furnishings; a large, modern kitchen had more china, glasses, and cutlery than we ever needed, making cooking a breeze; and the expansive dining table (overlooked by a gorgeous crystal chandelier) made each meal a celebration.
Bright and pretty bedrooms had very comfortable beds that offered the relaxation needed after long days of exploring the city, and the lovely tiled bathrooms held unexpected amenities like scented soaps and luxuriously soft towels and a warmer for them. (One minor note for Americans: 2 bathrooms does not mean 2 toilets). But almost every convenience you could want is provided to make your stay a pleasure – including a washer/dryer & large beach towels. Oh, and there’s a patio with table & umbrella as well.

The property manager, Jane, is genuinely friendly & helpful, and the fact that she is English was beneficial in communicating with her about the flat rental, and overcoming local language issues (such as dealing with the strange taxi companies!). She also provided detailed information booklets covering everything from the operation of remote controls and appliances to locations of restaurants, stores, attractions, and transportation. We were quite impressed with her thoroughness and professionalism.

Obviously, we highly recommend the Loft Belle Époque to anyone who is looking for an authentic experience of French living on the Cote d’Azur.
