Have stayed here twice now, each time the staff have been attentive and helpful although we are pretty self sufficient so didn't really need them other than for check in/out.

In its heyday this place was probably magnificent. sadly it is now looking very tired & moth eaten (not literally!) despite the renovations that are taking place (of which we were not advised when we booked).

I've still rated it v good though as it is not just average but expensive for the wear & tear.

Did we enjoy the stay? Yes
Would we go back again? No, time for a change.

The views from the Negresco were spectacular (we upgraded to a sea view delux suit)! However, the rooms desperately needed redecorating and could do with a deep clean. Not what we expected for the price.

We are delighted to hear that you received a complimentary upgrade into a deluxe sea view suite. This 70 sqm suite with separate living area offers two bathrooms and a large balcony. Located in the main part of the building the suite overlooks the splendid Angel's Bay. Sunrises and sunsets from this suite are always a great experience for all guests.

Please note that since 2013, many structural investments have been carried out. A significant number of rooms and suites have been refurbished and this is still ongoing.

We appreciate the time you took to share your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

The service at this hotel is definitely not 5 star service. I stayed at both 5 star hotels on the promenade the same week and this hotel was by far lacking in every category. I was actually very shocked at how rude the staff were. Additionally, the one elevator was very inconvenient.

I was a little nervous booking this hotel after reading so many reviews about the hotel's "faded elegance" but I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is in the process of updating the rooms, especially the bathrooms. I was very impressed with my recently renovated partial sea-view Exclusive double room. The room itself was very large, comfortable, and clean. The air conditioning worked well. The renovated bathroom was wonderful and very modern. (Just be aware that the toilet and bidet are in a separate chamber off the main bathroom.) The antique furniture in the room was in great condition.

The only negatives were that the fitness center does not have a treadmill (sorry you have to run along the water!) and the bathroom soaps are all fixed to the wall (I would have liked personal mini-bottles so I could have taken these very nice smelling products home). These are very minor all things considered!

The staff were fantastic and so helpful. Breakfast was very good. I am so happy we stayed here! I enjoyed the unique personality, comfortable accommodations, and historic elegance of this Nice landmark! I recommend with confidence.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room and the partial sea view is worth it!

Thus, we strive to exceed your expectations by providing the right room and delivering the best service possible. Thus, we are delighted to read how much you enjoyed your newly updated "Exclusive room". This category offer a splendid view on the Museum Massena gardens and side view from the Mediterranean. Since 2013, many structural investments are carried out. A significant number of rooms and suites have been totally refurbished and this is still ongoing. Thank you mentioning our breakfast offer and that you were pleased by it.

Furthermore, we are always grateful to receive suggestions from our valued guests. Our fitness center will be moved at the end of the year in a larger area in order to offer additional equipments. Our green certification "Eco Label" requires to provide dispensers in all bathrooms. Please kindly note that additional communal toiletries are available upon request through our housekeeping service.

Friendly , welcoming, informative. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Art collection and interiors make it a must stay location. Our one night stay was perfect start for our holiday in Nice. Great location
