Karen and I stayed at the Hotel Ste.Valerie for three nights in early August at £200 per night - not including the £18 breakfast. The place is quite lovely, with a gorgeous terrace and pool area close to the action at the centre of Juan-les-Pins. We were unfortunate to have a rather unpleasant-smelling garden room next to the noisy laundry room which spoilt the tranquility somewhat.

Room tip: Upstairs and far away from the laundry room

Dear "Chingachgook2",
thank you for coming to Hotel Sainte Valerie, and for your detailed comment.
We are happy that you appreciated your stay, and our Hotel.
Some of the ground floor rooms in the garden are indeed less calm than other categories, so do not hesitate to contact us directly on booking, we are happy to help you chose the best room according to your expectations.
Staying at your disposal,
Very best regards, M. Rigotti

What a find!
We came here to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary & to go to the jazz festival.
On arrival we were offered a glass of wine. Check-in was easy & we were shown to our room. The room was uniquely decorated, quirky & clean. The toilet in its own room was very small. Our room overlooked the pool. There’s everything you need; tea, coffee, mini bar, toiletries.
We went straight out to visit the area and loved returning to the tranquility of the hotel & it’s garden.
The pool is small & I did have to wait for a sunbed but there’s lots of seating. There is waiter service for drinks. Towels are provided.
We met the owner at breakfast. She was very friendly & interesting. The breakfast & the young staff were lovely. The breakfast was a little confusing at first but a member of staff showed us around. Sitting outside under the shade of an old tree drinking coffee and eating freshly baked cake & croissants - bliss!
We loved the area & this homely hotel and we’ll be back.

Dear "jo-flo19",
thank you very much for choosing Hotel Sainte Valérie, and for your kind and detailed comment.
Your description of our Provençal family house with its garden and breakfast under the mulberry tree is very nice, as well as your words about the team and myself.
It's really a pleasure to meat our guests, and chat with you every morning at the buffet breakfast.
And it will be too to see you back soon in Juan les Pins!
All the best and kind regards, M. Rigotti

Have stayed here for the last 5 years.
It is a wonderful friendly hotel with fabulous staff.
On our last visit the lift was out of order for the whole stay and the owner wasn't too worried about it!!

We asked her what the costs would be as we wanted to come back in late July.

She gave us a very good price an d we said we would confirm when we got home.

We made many phone calls and emails but she did not reply.

Eventually we managed to speak to her and she quoted me a much higher price and when i told her this was not the price she had promised us before she said she wouldn't do it any cheaper because it was high season.

Anyway we could not agree a price and found another hotel nearby that is very nice.

It is such a shame that this happened as we love the hotel but as life sometimes 'stings you in the tail she did not sell the room during that period!!

Maybe next time...............

Dear "mikedelane",

thank you for your interest, and loyalty to Hotel Sainte Valerie, and thank you for your comment, to which I will answer simply.
We are always happy to welcome you, but some things are not possible, specially when the hotel is very busy and there are major events to settle.
One of them was indeed the lift which has been Off for 3 days, waiting for its new motor, and I was far from not worried about it!
Regarding the room price, you had had a very interesting discount on your first stay which was not possible on high season.
I'm glad that you found a cheaper room for your stay in another Hotel.
We stay at your disposal, and wish you a nice summer, M. Rigotti

This was our first time in Juan les Pins with our two kids. We booked quite at last minute and were delighted to have been recommended this hotel by American Express concierge in UK.
The hotel is situated just behind the pinède,so getting to the Jazz festival was really easy. The beaches were a mere 3 minutes walk.
Room was perfect for family: a large bedroom, another room with 2 single beds, big bathroom and 2 toilets. We also had a terrace.
Staff were young, energetic and very helpful. Especially on our arrival when the key to our room was not working correctly. They installed us by the pool and offered a glass of rose and some soft drinks while we waited (we waited 5 minutes). My daughter jumped straight into the pool and we all felt like we were at an old friend’s house. It was really relaxing.
I can’t wait to go back and stay more than a couple of nights next week.
Merci beaucoup St Valerie Hotel!

We first stayed here 3 years ago and couldn’t wait to come back. On both occasions we stayed in the Sherazade suite, which is separate from the main hotel. It has its own private terrace, a large open plan bedroom and bathroom as well as a separate bedroom for our 2 sons.
The staff are young, enthusiastic, very obliging and always smiling.
Not only was Breakfast beautifully presented but the setting too was gorgeous. We ate like kings and we were not charged for our children either. We tended to go water skiing before breakfast, however there was no rush to get back as they serve till 1pm....if only more hotels would do this!
We really look forward coming back next year...even if it’s just for the breakfast! X
