Some decades ago I met my wife in Juan les Pins. In 1985 I experienced this village as one of the nicest places at the Côte d'Azur, but - to be honest - I was a little bit blue at that time.
Last weekend, a friend of mine invited me to come with him to Juan les Pins to visit another friend.
Although very recognizable, I was a little bit surprised by the fact that the municipality of Juan les Pins did not succeed to encourage the local entrepeneurs to invest in keeping up the pace with neighbouring contenders like Cannes, St Tropez and Ste Maxime. I regretfully have to admit that I experienced Juan les Pins now as a severely outdated place.
But there is one five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ pearl at the beach of Juan les Pins:
The beachclub La Jetée!
It is really worth it to go there, even if you are not having your stay in Juan les Pins.
La Jetée is a total different story. It is not only the best combination of a beachclub and a fine dining restaurant. But the very pleasant hosting team is truly giving you a treatment, you really would like wish to have at the beachclubs in the places I have acknowledged above as the contenders.
And please do not worry that you will not find there your favourite chateau of rosé, champagne or whatever you fancy; they will have it in every available size. Still recovering from some 6 litre bottles of Minuty rosé...
The concept of La Jetée is so succesful that, every night, the beachclub is being converted into one of the nicest restaurants in the greater area. So, do not lie too long on your sunbed, you may be surrounded by very attractively dressed dining tables on the beach. But the distinguishing polite staff will offer you an alternative location on the pier to extend your stay, enabling you to enjoy the sundawn.
In some way a pity that I was there with my friend, but I will certainly return there for a sentimental journey with my wife!
