Take a while during the daytime to stroll through Le Suquet, and peruse the menus from the many restaurants in the area. Make a booking for the evening, as the best tables in the best restaurants soon fill up - and you may miss out on a walk in. Our favourite was Le Bistro de Suquet. Chateaubriand was exquisite, service excellent. Chef came to chat to us at the end of service, which was super

This part of Cannes was the nicest part for my partner and I cosy small streets leading up the Hill to Le Suquet with quaint little shops and eateries full of old world charm

Le Suquet is the historical center in Cannes that most people haven't yet discovered. Le Suquet is located on the hill directly behind the port in Cannes. It is easily accessible via a winding road featuring numerous restaurants and cafés. Once at the top, you can explore the small winding roads leading through what was once a fishermen's village. The place du Suquet is now a pedestrian area where you can stop and enjoy a cafe or lunch in one of its restaurants. The city has recently begun a "navette" that shuttles you up and down Le Suquet. We have lived in the region for over 15 years and made many visits to Cannes without knowing about this quaint area until last year. If you plan a visit to Cannes, be sure to plan a day in Le Suquet and discover the Cannes of yesterday.

This part of Cannes is the most nice and cosy part. Small streets, nice town houses, different levels in terrain - recommended

just love all of the windy cobble stone streats, shops resaurants, and steps away from the plage du midi...
