The location was exquisite. The value for money was great. The staff are helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that I was upgraded to a room with a better view when I arrived. It was the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Nice

I’ve been staying here every year for the last 12 years and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Forget about the fact that the bedrooms and bathrooms are in need of a makeover, they are clean and comfortable. The reception area and the dining area are bright and modern, and the hotel has been enhanced in recent years by the addition of a pool and a small poolside bar, and there are amazing views from the rooftop sun terrace. The location of the hotel is excellent, situated overlooking the port with bus stops to Nice and Monaco which are practically right outside the door, and the train station which is a five minute walk away, as is the town centre. There is a wide selection of restaurants to choose from both in the town and the port area, and there are two separate beaches within walking distance. Breakfast consists of the usual selection of cereals, cold cuts, pastries etc., all of the highest quality. But by far the best thing about this hotel is the hospitality shown by the staff. During my visit I was forced to stay an extra night due to flight cancellations caused by industrial action. The situation couldn’t have been made any easier as it was made possible, not only to stay an extra night, but to stay in the same room. I was also given a late checkout which made my last day a lot more enjoyable. I can’t praise the staff highly enough, and I will definitely be back again next year.

Room Tip: For the best views overlooking the port, request a room at the front, preferably on an upper floor.

We stayed as a family of four (two older teenage children and us parents) for four nights of exploring the Côte d’Azur, and we loved our time here. We stayed in the Marine Suite, on the lower floor of a two-unit building that is separated from the main hotel across the swimming pool area. Our unit had a double bed, one single bed which converts from a bench seat, and one single roll-away bed; all of the beds were comfortable (or as comfortable as can be expected, in the case of the roll-away bed). The unit was very clean, and was kept that way throughout our stay by a very diligent cleaning staff who even washed our dishes each day, to our surprise. We had a small but very pleasant outdoor terrace off the kitchen, well-suited for taking coffee or wine outside to enjoy the pool ambiance in a semi-private setting, with vines providing partial shade from the Mediterranean sun. The pool itself is not large, but was clean and refreshing; we had no problem with the sounds of children romping in the pool, which closes at 8 PM so no impacts on sleep. The unit was well-soundproofed in general, so early-morning noises from the adjacent street (motor scooters, general traffic) didn’t interfere with sleeping teenagers or light-sleeping guests. One of the highlights of the Hotel Frisia is the roof-top terrace (5ème étage) in the main building, which has a gorgeous view of the sea, mountains, and Beaulieu yacht club. Hotel Frisia is located in easy walking distance from the gare, buses throughout the region, a large grocery store, and the attractive central main street with a daily produce market.

We stayed in july for a week. First of all, the staff were so friendly and lovely. We had our 16 month old babygirl with us and they met our every need at all times. The Hotel is fresh, clean and the pool is great. The location is perfect and the view from the top floor was amazing. Thank you, we will come back!
