“Tranquility and Comfort in Provence”
Reviewed 27 April 2013 for a stay in September 2012

La Pinède was everything that we wanted from our holiday. The house was very clean, comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. We were just a mature couple, but it would easily take up to two families. Whilst there is everything that you need to cook and dine inside, we spent most of our two weeks enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the terraces, one of which benefits from the cool shade of a leafy canopy, whilst the other is more open and yet offers the option of either soaking up the sun or sitting in the shade looking down the immaculately maintained garden. And when we needed to cool off, there was the choice of submerging in the main pool or relaxing in the adjacent Jacuzzi.
We found plenty to do in the area. Carpentras is only a short drive away and has a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants, along with a typical provençal produce market on Fridays and a lively Marché aux Puces / Brocante on Sunday mornings. There are also numerous villages within a short drive to explore, each of which has its own charm and weekly market. I would especially recommend L’Isle sur-la-Sorgue, with its renowned Sunday antiques market. Avignon is also but a short drive away. However, we were always pleased to return to La Pinède and relax in its tranquillity. Once the tall wooden gates were closed, we enjoyed total privacy in which we were able to while away the time with a cool glass rosé or the local Ventoux red.
So if you enjoy peace and quiet with all the comforts of home but with the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of Provence, you will find all that you need at La Pinède. The owners live locally and speak much better English than I speak French. They went to great lengths to welcome us and were on hand if we needed assistance, but, other than the weekly clean of the pool, left us to enjoy our holiday.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed 25 April 2013 for a stay in August 2011

An immaculate property, in the charming Provencal style, with an attractive terrace, pool and jacuzzi set in beautiful gardens, private, yet not far from the lovely town of Carpentras with a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes and lively and colourful weekly markets, also an ideal location for exploring many parts of Provence. Ideal for a couple, families or a group of friends. The owners who lived in the region were so friendly, welcoming, charming and helpful, yet discreet. I would recommend this holiday rental without hesitation.
