We wanted to try out a new place for breakfast and opted for the Wall Street Cafe'. It turned out not the best choice though. For starters there is no breakfast on the menue, which was a bit suprising for a French Cafe'. They did offer however a verbal choice of a small and big breakfast which was only reluctantly described by the waiter. We went for the petite dejeuner which consisted of a hot drink of choice, a small glass of orange juice (from the tetra pack), two thick slices of toasted baguette with butter and jam. At €5.90 it was quite a bit higher than competing cafe's in the area. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. The staff was mostly busy with itself and with noisy regulars at the counter. The place may be better for lunch but for breakfast I would go somewhere else. Go to Cafe Ciclade down the street on Rue Carnot (fomerly Tapenade Cafe). For € 4 you get the choice of fresh croissants or sweet roles, coffee of choice and a freshly squeezed orange juice served with a friendly smile of the owners.
