This is an elegant little museum in what was once a private house. Downstairs, in an annexe, there was a temporary exhibit of an extensive naturist collection. Drawings of mushrooms and butterfly collections. Interesting.
Upstairs is where the real collection is. Louis Vouland was a wealthy collector who brought together a vast number of 17th and 18th century clocks, ornaments and pieces of furniture for display in what was once his home. There are some excellent items here, in a lavish setting showing off how the wealthy French would have once lived in Avignon. Very enjoyable.
But, there are absolutely no signs or any information in English. Many times we wondered just what we were looking at and where it came from. I would have given this an Excellent rating if there had been some information in English.
