A comfy quiet stay.

Lovely welcome, a nice quiet room, with decent shower wc en suite. Good tea/coffee in room a bonus. Very comfortable bed, 2 ample breakfasts, and a very good evening meal. Easy drive into Avignon, and on a very cycleable route. Lovely staff. Very pleased. Would/will stay again if in area. Thanks

Surroundings absolutely beautiful and staff very welcoming and friendly. The room - compared to the rest of the hotel - was adequate but a little tired. The dining room is beautiful. Dinner was simply outstanding. You would definitely eat in the hotel if staying here. Choice and quality excellent. We would stay here again.

A group of us stayed at La Ferme for five nights for our son's wedding in August 2023. We were really impressed with the family ambiance - nothing was too much trouble for Nathalie and her team and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were not huge, but perfectly comfortable and contained everything we needed, with well-functioning air conditioning (it was very hot in Avignon that week - 40 degrees!) and we were impressed with the restaurant, which served well-presented and tasty dishes. The pool was a bonus in the hot weather. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay somewhere out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

We did not stay at their B&B but we had dinner in their restaurant. I was unimpressed with the food. I ordered the Chateaubriand and ordered it medium. It came well done and very tough. My husband ordered the same and his was a tad more rare, but still very tough. The side’s were very basic, half a sweet potato and spear of squash, a few mushrooms and a piece of leek. The vegetables were overcooked as well. We had dinner the next night at the B&B down the road and the food and service were outstanding. We had a 5 course meal (Salmon) and bottle of wine for 9 euros more than we paid for the disappointing dinner.

All the words in the other reviews were correct. It was peaceful, tranquil etc. it was in the middle of nowhere. Lovely courtyard etc.
Our room overlooked the courtyard, which was beautiful, but isn’t memorable. In fact I can’t remember much of the visit other than the torrential downpour which cleared the patrons from outside the hotel. And a rather loud Brit……
My wife on the other hand remembers it very well. Even down to what she ate. She says the restaurant was full and the food was excellent!
I had avery good, if simple, breakfast.

Lets start with the best bit - the pool! Having been travelling through the heatwave that was Europe's summer, stopping for a couple of days at a place with a pool was wonderful.

The breakfast was very good too. Great choices and plentiful- though did have some challenges getting the boiled egg cooked as the temperature and therefore cooking time seemed to change. The dinner and lunch we had was great too - just be aware of the days they do and don't do this as you are quite a way out of town, and we had to scramble to get to a supermarket to get some lunch before a tour at the last minute.

The room - was small, poky and while the floor area may have been adequate, that it was up in the attic space in most of the room we could not stand up straight. There is no lift and as 2 older patrons, lugging 2 large suitcases up 2 floors was not easy. The ""King"" bed is 2 singles shoved together with a sheet over not even an attempt at a topper to make the join any more comfortable. Being so hot, we had to keep the blind over the skylight closed making it very dark. The air con was not very effective and the temperature restricted. We came back one day from town to find it got turned off during the day meant the place was stifling. That said, ensure if you know when you plan to be back (good for days where you have specific plans) you let Nathalie know before going out and she can ensure on before you get back.
Odd set up with the lights and connection to power. There was no main light, just a table light on the desk and small bedside lights and for the power to work, need to have the lights on (the light switch seemed to also be the socket switch) - so plugged phone in to charge overnight so can use the next day and woke up to them with no charge.
They seem to also water down the shower gel. Understand these may be seen to be resource saving measures but they really are a false economy as not being able to have the ac below 24 means it is left on all day so the room is cool(ish) on return (rather than being able to give it a quick blast to bring it down), the lights get left on during the day to charge power packs so we can charge phones overnight, use lots more gel as lose 1/2 of it from the dispenser to the body.
Overall, we found the service and hospitality to be lovely if the place was a little tatty and tired

Dear,
Despite your nickname, I remember your visit to us this summer well. First of all a big thank you for all the positive points that you salute.
Afterwards, you indulge in unacceptable writing until you dilute the shower gel to save money. Who do you take us for?
Attic room with exposed beams in a building built at the beginning of the 17th century, this appeals to the greatest number.
No mattress topper, false, all king size beds are equipped with 2 mattresses zipped together + a 5 cm mattress topper.
Electricity in the room controlled by the switch at the entrance, yes, but bedside tables equipped with USB sockets to recharge your telephones.
The restaurant not open every day for lunch, it was enough to read the welcome note on the bed, consult the whole web or ask the question!
The limited air conditioning in the rooms and cut off during the day, yes with 40° outside, 24° is more than enough, avoids blowing up the groups on the roof in direct sunlight, pollutes much less, ... Piloting the switching off and switching on all the rooms allows a sharp drop in consumption, especially with customers who, for the most part, leave the hotel around 10 a.m. and do not return until the end of the day (leaving their room with an open window and air conditioning on...frequently!).
In short, we felt you were relaxed, not as old as you describe and enjoying being there.
