“Fab Farmhouse”
Reviewed 2 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Well equipped comfortable farmhouse in very rural area with fabulous views. The weather could have been better but enjoyed the spacious layout and coziness of the farmhouse with logburner. Situated on quite a steep hillside so people with reduced mobility or with very young children ( we had active 22month old!) need to take care.

So glad you had a good holiday, the weather has certainly been unusually mixed so far this year. The fenced pool is good for little ones, but I guess for those unsteady in their pins, young and old may need to be aware of the steps to the pool. We hope to see you back in the area again and hopefully the sun will shine.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 25 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Lovely, tranquil and very scenic area, house was well equipped, tidy and had a lovely traditional french feel to it. The pool is small but nice and well positioned. The garden is small, pretty and backs onto lovely french woodland. The house is easy driving distance to the small shop and bakery in monteils which sells fantastic pastries. On top of this there are some lovely restaurants in the nearby towns of Najac, Villeffranche and Parisot. There is a wide variety of different activities to do in the surrounding area ranging from kayaking to perusing local markets. All in all, a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend this to others.

“Comfort, peace and fabulous area”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 for a stay in August 2013

Having stayed in the area before we wanted a change of property and chose this house from the website because it looked clean, comfortable and very well equipped but still retaining the traditional french farmhouse feel. We were not disappointed. The property has been completely renovated and the facilities are fresh and well maintained. The secluded, safely fenced swimming pool was a joy for our grandchildren and the extended and wild grounds around the house were an explorers playground for them. The house is on a hillside which means that there are steps down to the pool but on the other hand there is a ground floor bedroom which meant we were separate from our family and children and didn't have stairs to contend with every night. The wildlife and scenery was fabulous and the starry sky at night made for many pleasant evenings al fresco. The local towns of Najac- stunning medieval village with ruined chateau, and Villefranche de Rouergue with amazing market and fabulous upscale restaurants make this a region we will come back to again. I have to add that my teenage grandson is a keen cyclist and brought his bike with him, going on many extended rides which he tells me were quite challenging but very safe.

Thank you for taking the time to review Clauzel. Since your comments when you stayed at the house we have cleared the garden back. I'm pleased you enjoyed the peace and quiet Clauzel offers, as you so rightly point out the pool is ideal for families. July and August are much more lively in the region, early June, as is often the case, is still quite sleepy here.
