The castle of Angers seem to be very massive building from the outside, but when you get in, you found it forms richly way by the architecture of different eras and styles, and gardens.
They let us in free (under 26 ei citizen) and we paid only 3 euro for English audioguide, which was good and interesting. We enjoyed exploring the place, and I especially appreciated the meticulous way they had made the details and modern parts (for example information boards in black slate, and the modern part for archeological parts and tapestry!) The castle was full of interesting parts, gardens and details, and when up the wall, there was a beautiful view over the city and the river.
The exhibition of tapestry, art of middle ages, was really beautiful and impressive and full of stories. It's the oldest tapestry in the Europe in such a large scale. Certainly recommended!!
