La Ferme Saint Simeon - Relais et Chateaux
Ranked #2 of 33 Hotels in Honfleur
Certificate of Excellence

Not all rooms are five stars, avoid the "loft" rooms, which have showers that you cannot stand up in if you are taller than 4 feet. That's really unacceptable. Having said that, the facilities in the hotel are otherwise excellent, especially the swimming pool and spa. Town of Honfleur is spectacular. I would probably prefer to stay at Auberge de la Source located in the countryside outside Honfleur, as the overall experience is less corporation-like.

Room Tip: Avoid the lofts/attic, unless you have no legs, or do not like showering.

We came every year because this area has a good atmosphere and you are near the nice downtown of Honfleur and 5 minutes after you find here a quiet area. The restaurant is very correct with a nice dining room. Breakfast is excellent. It is a good value.

My first ever review on Trip Advisor. The title says it all about our day trip visit in February 2012. We stopped by in the morning to make sure all was in order for our lunch at 13:00 which we had arranged ahead of time. When we came back, no record of our reservation. The dining room was cold, no fire, ours was the only table occupied. One water glass was dirty, another chipped. Roses with brown edges. Old bread. Soup was OK. Inedible main courses. Asked for sauce on the side of the cod but it came with sauce. Sent back. Horrible mishmash came out with sauce on the side. When we complained we were told we didn't know how to eat; it would taste better if the sauce was on top. Dessert over-sweet and made of industrial, chemical-tasting ingredients. We are happy to pay for quality but this place was just an expensive rip-off.

We stayed one night for my wife's birthday and enjoyed the place.
After a day's hiking, it was a real delight to relax in the pool!
This hotel deserves its stars. Dinner was very good. During breakfast there were so many quality products to taste...
The only low point: the room could have been larger.

Really enjoyed staying here after coming straight from CDG in Paris (long flight) before travelling onto Normandy (to a very disappointing B&B). This made our WWII themed trip thanks to the personal service and amazing food.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
More than a century after being frequented by impressionist painters seeking inspiration from the magic light of the Côte Fleurie, the Ferme Saint Siméon still seems to still be nourished by tender nostalgia. Perched on the heights of Honfleur, this Normand-style building infused with the soul of yesteryear delicately embraces modern refinement. Facing the Seine river estuary, the rooms full of noble furniture, woodwork, luxurious fabrics, comfort and colours are spread like flower bouquets across the farm, the central building and the ‘Press’.Beneath the garden’s apple trees or in the refined decor of the gastronomic restaurant, guests will be delighted to discover the regional cuisine, after indulging in a relaxing treatment at the Spa, peacefully overlooking the sea. ... more   less
