Owner description: Situated near the British Military Cemetery of Bayeux, the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy narrates the battles which took place in Normandy after the D-Day landings, between 7th June and 29th August 1944. The collections of military equipment, the diorama and the archival films allow the visitor to grasp the enormous effort made during this decisive battle in order to restore peace in Europe.

Small museum near the beaches, interesting dioramas, military gear. Worth a stop. Small souvenir shop.

Had the opportunity to visit the museum late in the day. The museum provides a great way to wrap up a visit to Normandy. I recommend you visit the area - beaches/ sites first than finish at the museum. It will take you from the D-Day +1 through August. So many places in the area focus on June 6. It was nice to learn what happened afterwards. Be sure to visit the British cemetery across the street.

Very nicely laid-out, there’s an extensive and detailed amount of information and also material from the June ‘44 impressive moments, every scholar should spend a day here!

Wonderfully presented display of memorabilia and history from the D-Day period. Definitely worth visiting in conjunction with a trip to the beaches.

I can't describe the feeling seeing the museum. Knowing one of the reasons I can go see places like this is due to those before me sacrificing everything left me in awe. It's a must see, but please do so with the proper respect. It's not a playground.
