I really liked the feel of this gallery, there was a sculpture and interesting ceramics collection on the ground floor and various painting collections upstairs. It wasn’t too clear which bits you paid for so we didn’t see it all. Very relaxing place to spend a couple of hours and lots of seating in the galleries for lazy art lovers like myself. The cafe is a new addition I think and has an air of ‘all style no substance’ - it was a Sunday lunchtime when we visited but you couldn’t just get a sandwich or a croissant, it was cake or veal, so we had cake! They did do Yorkshire Tea though!

This is an outstanding art gallery and we'll worth a visit. The entry hall has been transformed into an excellent facility with free wi-fi, a good café serving home made food at a reasonable price, and also has sofas to drink your coffee in comfort! A vast improvement!

Paintings I had only heard of displayed in their full glory. Amazed and delighted, good layout, excellent guide and fab bookshop for your souvenirs. If you are lucky and visit on the first Sunday of the month entrance if free.

We happened onto the buildings in the area so really only got a feeling of anothe grand edifice on a huge square.

Wasn't clear which parts were free and which weren't but we walked round the ground floor and the upper floor; some interesting pieces. Cafe was average, not a great selection or enough tables.
