We stumbled on this little gem just off the main square in the centre of Toulouse during a recent trip to France. We were given a warm greeting by the owner Patricia in near perfect English who showed us to a pretty little table. A young girl, who we later found out was the owners daughter brought us the mouthwatering menu. Whilst we decided what we would like to eat a bottle of water was brought to the table in a pretty bottle. My wife had a stunning home made courgette and boursin quiche which was full of flavour with an exquisite light pastry with an accompanying salad that perfectly complemented the quiche. I myself went for the tartine of the day which was a large slice of artisan bread which was loaded with ham, figs and pine nuts and a beautiful fresh salad on a heart shaped plate. To finish off we had a slice of home made apricot tart that maintained the high standard of the meal. The service, the food, the coffee and the ambience of this cafe were excellent. We will definitely go there if we are in Toulouse again and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the real Toulouse away from the touristy places around the main square.
