We stayed for two weeks here while looking for a house. I would repeat.
Pros: Great location right on the ring road.
Lots of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance.
Bed looked uncomfortable but I slept on it fine despite having a bad back.
Nice terrace overlooking the hills and green space.
Cons: No free parking but there is a free parking lot just south of the apt.
We grabbed a parking spot right in front of the building most nights.
It is right by a recycling/trash bin and you can hear the bottles breaking most nights. Did not wake me up, trash trucks woke up wife at 7ish.
There is pay parking in a couple of lots and on the street down the block but just go a couple hundred meets south on D979 to a couple of free lots. If the first lot by the traffic circle is full to around the back to a second lot which is rather hidden. Video camera security.
Also try the Thai Wok restaurant. Very good Thai place for France. Not just an Asian place but actual Thai food.
We had an enjoyable week in Uzes and found this gite comfortable and well-located - very close to the historic town centre, market etc. We appreciated all the extras provided - especially oil, herbs etc for cooking as well as a very good range of CDs and English language books. We were disappointed that there was no wifi or internet access. We were also surprised at having to pay for parking near the apartment - free parking is available but at quite some distance away. However, overall we enjoyed our stay in this historic and interesting town.
