We had strolled around Narbonne before arriving at this restaurant for lunch. It is a beautiful city, so it was no surprise that the little square in which you find this restaurant is also lovely, and there were lots of well shaded tables out on the veranda at the front.

There was only a choice of two courses at each stage, but at €21 for three courses (especially of this quality) I'm not complaining! . I had the tuna carpaccio to start and my wife the goat’s cheese. Both very good indeed. We both had the veau for main (seems very prevalent in this region) which was one of the tastiest and tender of its type I’ve ever had. Really very good. The other choice was salmon, and when we saw it come out to other tables we were definitely happy with the choice we made. Desert was a lazy fruit salad or cheese, so we went for the latter, which was three small portions of good cheese (comte, a goat and something else nice). We had a nice bottle of local rosé so all in it was €64. Very good value when you think the service is included. Very much recommended. If we have time, we will try and get here for dinner, but lunch out on the veranda will be hard to beat!

We went at lunch time on a Saturday to book for that evening. The place was heaving but the staff were calm, efficient and very friendly. Some of the other customers were chatty and friendly too.
We went for the €32, three course menu of which the choice was good.
The service was good, staff considerate and friendly.
The meal wasn't rushed, but not slow either.
Each dish was well presented and delicious.
We had been there once before and would go again with no hesitation.

This was our second visit and the food is authentic French classical and extremely tasty at a very reasonable price in a nice cozy setting. The plat du jour is always fabulous and not speaking French we are able to muscle are way through and order .

On a positive note we live near Edinburgh and it is good to know we can eat better at home for less money. We had 3 courses for 21€ menu and the food was ok which was therefore below expectations. Service was mixed ie she was good and he was not - seemed to think we were doing him a favour rather than the other way round. Customer service should be paramount!

This was great dining in Narbonne-not to be missed. Dining outdoors in 25C temp with cool breeze was delightful.Staff attentive, but not overly so. Advice on wines excellent.
Food was terrific and the restaurant is worth taking the time to locate as it is slightly off the regular walks along the canal, but not much- near the Hales and opposite the Musee Lapidaire in an historic part of Narbonne. We both loved the atmosphere and the dry ,laconic approach of maître- de. The food was indeed an adventure of good taste with traditional French food. Our meal was excellent. We enjoyed the vegetable entrees. My only negative was the beer selection-Budwiser only. This restaurant is a gem worth taking the time to find
