We had strolled around Narbonne before arriving at this restaurant for lunch. It is a beautiful city, so it was no surprise that the little square in which you find this restaurant is also lovely, and there were lots of well shaded tables out on the veranda at the front.
There was only a choice of two courses at each stage, but at €21 for three courses (especially of this quality) I'm not complaining! . I had the tuna carpaccio to start and my wife the goat’s cheese. Both very good indeed. We both had the veau for main (seems very prevalent in this region) which was one of the tastiest and tender of its type I’ve ever had. Really very good. The other choice was salmon, and when we saw it come out to other tables we were definitely happy with the choice we made. Desert was a lazy fruit salad or cheese, so we went for the latter, which was three small portions of good cheese (comte, a goat and something else nice). We had a nice bottle of local rosé so all in it was €64. Very good value when you think the service is included. Very much recommended. If we have time, we will try and get here for dinner, but lunch out on the veranda will be hard to beat!
