Ate here in June. The food was mainly traditional French & Italian. The waitress was friendly and helpful, the food was average but very edible. Not the most memorable meal but We would return

The setting is great and the service was excellent, but discrete, but it was the food that was the winner. The set menu was good value with mouth watering foie gras, entrecôte and a praline and almond ice cream. My wife had the cassoulet and it was delicious, with subtle flavours and melt in the mouth confit. A perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Went there in family in the end of May. The food was unequal: lesser than average garbure and better than average cassoulet, not amazing though. The wine was very good.
The desserts were worth it: scrumptious chocolate fondant.
All of this would have been correct for 20 euros per person, but the bill amounted to 30 per head, so definitely overpriced.
The real great point is the friendliness of the owner/waitress, coming from Corsica: they took the restaurant over some 5 months ago and are still working the kinks as it seems, this reflects also in the amount of waiting time: the lunch took nearly 2 hours...
So, in a word, not a bad place to go but either they step up on their food quality or they decrease the price, otherwise I don't see this restaurant survive more than a couple of years built upon its previous reputation.
But keep up the friendly welcome, this is really a major point in your favor!

PS: forgot to add that when they asked about the food and we told them that the garbure was not very tasty, they offered us to replace the dish with anything more to our taste, but we declined. Just added a point to my review, as I had forgotten about this.

One of the few restaurants open on a Monday and it was excellent. Great value as menu is only 25 euro for 3 courses and 1 litre carafes of wine for 11 euros. Six of us had a lovely meal of very varied food and excellently cooked food and everyone was delighted. Lovely waitresses (2) who looked after us in a most friendly and enthusiastic way. As the restaurant cleared the owner/ chef came out to chat to us. This is what France is all about!

We had a meal here on a Monday evening in May when the majority of restaurants are closed. The restaurant , situated in the old part of the town, has great character and the food was excellent; the young waitresses were extremely helpful and the choice of dishes on the 25€ set menu (3 Courses) was sufficiently varied to suit the 6 members of our group. I had the Moules Marinieres and 4 enormous grilled gambas followed by Tiramisu. All were excellent and the house wine -(10 euros a litre carafe) was also good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
