The hotel and estate are spectacular. The staff are friendly, professional, and think of everything to make the visit wonderful. Victoria is a positive force of energy who goes out of her way to be helpful. I do wish that there was more light in our room, but that is a minor issue and this magnificent place.

This is a beautiful hotel and does have a migival feel, tucked away in the town of Nimes. The rooms were beautiful as well as the other preserved parts of the old town house where it is based. They seem to perfect to touch though! And seem seem more for display. The ambience is wonderful and peaceful and the staff were very accommodating and very friendly. The cats and tortoise were adorable little touches. The spa looked beautiful but was our of our price range. The breakfast was bot included and was expensive but I was glad we went for it as it was the best continental breakfast I have ever had. If felt homemade but still of very high quality. I would recommend for couples. I was less impressed by the kids who were staying there with us - not that they were particularly badly behaved, it would have just felt a little more relaxed and romantic without them splashing about in the pool next to our room. I'm not sure they would appreciate it that much, especially given the cost.
Overall however, beautiful hotel and lovely escape.

Was most aggrieved that on booking spa was quoted €100 per hour, on checking out was charged €200 & told price quoted was per head! Also charged extra for providing room booked. Overall lovely stay, charming staff & owners. Drinks & breakfast exhoribantly expensive - more than LONDON 5* hotel prices.

This place gave us so much joy and peace. Starting with the excellent service the owner Victor, his wife and the stuff provides. When me and my husband found the hotel, Victor immediately gave us a warm welcoming and took our car to park. The hotel is like a hidden tresure fool of arts, garden and the interior decor with antique furniture is breathtaking. Breakfast was served in a room with arts and piano overlooking the garden. I loved the omelet with cheese and ham, fresh bread, squeeze orange juice and the home made jams they make themselves. We felt very exclusive in this hotel because there are no much guests at once. It totally a quiet, private place and you feel like a queen staying there. I read great reviews about the plane and only one review complaining about prices. First of all, if you are a cheap person thinking parking is free and breakfast is free go to a cheap hotel where all is included. But if you are a person that wants quality, good service and a beautiful place go here. You simply love to sleep in their comfy bed with high quality pillows and linen.

They also serve dinner but we went to a 10 min walk French Restaurant. I can't wait to be back to Jardins Secrets again.

Although the beauty of this place is quite breathtaking, we encountered some very strange things. The staff acts as if things are included as part of your stay, meaning they suggest having an apertif or allowing them to park your car, never mentioning that each small drink costs 20 euros and to use their garage costs 25 euros per day. I really would not have minded paying the 25 euros at all for parking, but it is just not normal the way they offer things as seemingly apart of what you have already paid and then when you check out you have many extra expenses to pay for. When we asked about the charges, the female owner acted as if we were stupid. In addition, we brought back two bottles of wine from our travels and wanted to sit outside our room and enjoy them. When we asked if we could use a wine bottle opener, they told us the entire facility only had one and therefor they had to open them for us. Again, this would not be an issue if it was in a genuine way. But the attitude made very apparent, was that they were annoyed by this and wanted us to only drink the wines that they had on site, which were extremely overpriced. As stated before, the place itself is gorgeous. If you have no limitations on expense, I think there would be no such issue at all. We happened to budget our trip and could not be very frivolous with money, and it was very clear that the female owner was put off. In the end, it was just strange, that is the best way to put it. We traveled around France mostly, and some in Germany for two weeks, and both of us agreed that it was our least favorite place we stayed, which includes even staying in places that were significantly less nice. We left feeling uncomfortable and a bit down about having chosen to spend our largest sum of money to stay at this place as opposed to others.
