We enjoyed our staying a lot in this apartment in Montpellier. The owner did a great job of preserving the spirit of antique in this old house while at the same time working out all the conveniences. Staying in this apartment was without a doubt a great experience in itself in this wonderful town!

This property very much lives to to its billing as a high quality character apartment.
Located on a bustling street by day,but quiet in the evening, the position of the apartment cannot be faulted. On this street there are a large number of restaurants, cafes and takeaways offering a diverse range of foods at a range of prices just a short distance from the apartment, with a busy square, full of restaurants and cafes just a minute or so away.
The covered market is similarly placed, providing the whole range of the best quality French food should you wish to eat in.
The central Place de la Comedie with more of everything and the nearest tram stop is maybe five minutes walk away along the main shopping street, with the tree lined Esplanade, the Art Gallery, the Botanical Gardens and Promenade maybe ten more minutes.
The railway station is a twenty minute stroll.
In short,ideally situated.
The apartment itself is just wonderful.
This starts with a lovely wide stone staircase in a covered atrium leading up to the huge main door into the apartment.
This leads into a large kitchen/dining room with a high ceiling (with eagle) and lovely dining furniture. The kitchen area is extremely well equipped with every appliance/utensil you might need.
The main room is airy again with a with high ceiling.A small balcony with large French windows overlooks the street from the lounge, from where it is possible to feel immersed in the heart of this vibrant city (its the students) whilst not being submerged.Furnishings are a delight, whilst meeting all needs, and the video/sound system/TV are matched by the CD,DVD library.
As a special note, there is an extensive library available - we took books;we needn't have done!
The bathroom is well appointed with a good shower.
All linens are good quality.
The whole apartment is spotless.
This is nothing like a standard holiday let;it has been put together with a careful eye to act as an alternative home,a holiday residence.
Just as good is the service from the owner;a comprehensive information pack is available, and obtaining/returning the key system works well.
We can't wait to return.

“Very comfortable, fully equipped apartment with historic character”

We stayed in the apartment for one week as a family of four with two teenage children. We were imediately struck by its central location in the heart of the city, yet quietly situated in a small street. The apartment was fully equipped as a holday home in character style with beautiful antique furniture and modern kitchen & bathroom. We enhoyed cooking and eating in the spacious combined kitchen and dining room. We could have wished for one more bedroom, but found the sofabed in the sitting-room comfortable as a bed and very easy to use.
