Thomas and Celine's apartment is a great size for two adults and has a lovely outside space which is a must for France . Absolutely no need for a car , main train station within 100 metres as is a Carrefour metro supermarket. . We shopped there and nowhere else . As expected the infrastructure in Montpellier is superb , the tram takes you all the way to the beach . ( tip , if like us you intended to use the tram to explore get a 24 hour family pass for 6.25 euro ) . This pass allows 2 adults to travel together + 2 children, what a deal . We also took the train to Sete , Beziers and Nimes on separate days , all worthy of a 4 to 6 hours visit ( lunch of course ) .
Thomas recommended a few restaurants, we managed into one " Le Bouchon St Roch " just lovely ! Oh , you can easily walk to any restaurant !
The others were too busy on the occasions we wanted to go .... so make reservations.
Back to the apartment, great bed , superb refrigerator and lovely contemporary shower . The security of the apartment is impeccable, double locks and keypad key boxes if required .
So all we can say is enjoy
My husband and I had a really wonderful holiday in Montpellier. This apartment was in the perfect location - with a supermarket (Carrefour), bakers, patisserie, butchers, wine, fruit and veg and a pub all just a few doors away. Oh, and of course a pharmacy (there are a LOT of pharmacies!).
SO close to the train, yet absolutely no noise from it. So close to the trams and everything was in walking distance. Minutes walk away from street food, fancy food, every day food, drinks, cocktails, coffee, pancakes and pizza.
Thomas and Celine were wonderful hosts, great communication and Thomas still managed to meet us at the train station despite our train being delayed by 20-odd minutes.
The place was clean and fun. The terrace was a super place to sit and enjoy wine, cheese, baguettes and grapes. We ate breakfast outside most days. We cooked a couple of meals and had everything we needed from the kitchen.
I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Montpellier.
