We spent Easter at the Trianon and can't wait to return. Our checkin got off to a rocky start as we were offered an upgrade which we accepted, just to be told that finally, the room was not available.
After that, everything was perfect. Our lovely room, in the historic building had a vew of sheep and goats feasting on the lawn of Versailles. Here we were, a 10 minute walk from the Chateau de Versailles and the landscape was bucolic. Wasn't expecting that. A nice walk before dinner.
We had a drink at the bar, okay, two drinks, but who is counting? Jean-Baptiste took excellent care of us. Then we were off to our dinner reservation at the Veranda. At first, a little disappointing. The entrance is via a large empty room, (perhaps it was used for the Easter festivities during the afternoon?) on to the veranda. Maxime took excellent care of us. He had answers to our questions and solutions for our quonundrums. We had a lovely evening.
Our room was lovely and comfortable. The heated floor in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise.
Breakfast was as complete as it could have been with service on a level with the evening prior.
A long walk around the Chateau, then it was time for the spa before heading back to Paris and the real world.
The Trianon has become my goto place when I want a short break.

Well done.
If you are looking for a different way to see Paris, try the Trianon for a few days and visit Versailles a different ways.

We booked this hotel not realising that it is actually 2 hotels. We had inadvertently booked into the conference centre which is slightly shabby /worn modern building. The room had problems(plug in bathroom not working), continued need to request reprovisioning of milk, coffee etc (all , it must be said , dealt with very quickly). Room too long to heat up (brutally cold outside). We ate in both restaurants and the food was excellent - but breakfast time, coffee was always lukewarm. We had thought Waldorf Astoria equals excellence. No longer.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your visit and thank you for your compliments about our restaurants. We are pleased to see that you found the food excellent. On the other hand we regret to see that you have been disappointed to stay in the Pavillon building. We have different categories of rooms and suites and depending on the one you choose it is either in the Pavillon or in the Palace building, that is clearly explained by our Reservation Department.
Hoping that you will come back booking in the Palace building which is the historical one.
Sincerely,

Everyone loves to feel special. I left the Trianon Palace Hotel after a celebratory weekend feeling like royalty!

The setting for this majestic hotel is beautiful, with lovely gardens and extensive views of the park behind the hotel. Our suite was so nice that we didn’t want to leave the room... except for a trip to the pool and spa, of course.

Service was excellent - staff in the hotel and restaurant were very attentive, and dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s was exceptional. Highly recommended!

Hotel overall was above average but not up to American Waldorf-Astoria standards. A bit frayed around the edges. Also lots of staff that was attentive but some clearly didn’t like Americans. Location was good for visiting Versailles but otherwise just ok.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your visit.
We are pleased to read that on the whole you enjoyed your stay but we are a little surprised by your comment about some of our staff regarding Americans. We very often use to greet American people and we are pleased to serve them as well as we are pleased to serve all our guests.
Hoping that we shall have the chance to move your mind in the future.
Sincerely,
