Thank you Sébastian for a warm welcome and the wealth of information you gave us. Whilst this was not our first trip to Paris, it was our first time staying in this area.
The apartment was as discribed in the listing will all the amenities you require for a comfortable stay. I would recommend the apartment for couples as the size would make it difficult to move around with anymore people. We enjoyed the close proximity to public transport (Metro) and the supermarket and large wine shop across the road. There are cafés near by but they are a little touristy for seasoned visitors to Paris. There are some excellent boulangerie in the area and a Pierre Hermé within an easy stroll (which I highly recommend you visit).
Overall a very comfortable and easily accessible area and a lovely place to base yourself from.
Thank you again Sébastian for all your help and easy communications
If you are travelling in Paris, I highly recommend this apartment. The building is in the process of being remodeled, but the apartment itself is great. There is a small bedroom which is adjacent to the living room. The windows open onto a side street - not on the busy Rue de la Madeleine. When the windows are closed the apartment is very quiet. The air conditioner was so nice to have (my friends were jealous). The kitchen is small but very functional. I was by myself, and I felt very safe. The doormen were very nice and kept a watchful eye of all entering and exiting. You won't be disappointed with the amenities and the location.
The apartment is a great place to stay when in Paris. The location is perfect, in the 1st Arrondissement, a stunning area, within walking distance of the best museums and tourist sites. We were able to walk everywhere from this location.
Major department stores are nearby as well as restaurants, bars and pattiseries. A supermarket is conveniently located just opposite the building - as well as a fine wine store. Don't miss the shop in the small side street (the opposite side of the Boulevard Madeleine) - the same street at the Starbucks) where you can find designer clothes at major discounts. The area around the apartment has loads of different and beautiful shops.
It is located in a beautiful historic building, once the Paris Hotel, with a front doorman. The entrance is located on the beautiful Boulevard Madeleine. It is very close to the Metro (towards the church) and the Airport Shuttle station (towards Galleries Lafayette).
The apartment is well appointment with a comfortable bed, sofa bed, air conditioner, cable TV, Wi-Fi and a good kitchen. It is clean and well designed. We stayed with our 11 year old daughter and it was very comfortable size wise. The building opposite the apartment houses offices, however, the windows of the apartment are double glazed which keeps the apartment quiet and it also is tinted to maintain privacy. When you are on that side of the street and look up to the apartment, you will see that you cannot see inside, so privacy is not an issue,
Sebastien is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. He made an effort to make us feel welcome. He also left a a list of wonderful restaurants and stores to visit. I can highly recommend this apartment and when I am fortunate to find myself in Paris again, this is where I'll stay!
The apartment is small though well designed. It is clean and comfortable and the location is very central. The apartment looks straight onto offices opposite which would not be a problem is there were sheer curtains that created privacy while still allowing light into the apartment. It is an easy walk to the Galleries Lafayette, Madeleine Metro and Roissey Bus at Opera
