I stayed here for five nights with my three teenage kids. The location is fantastic, on the same block as the grocery store, a wine store, a gelateria, two pastry shops and multiple cafes. Wonderful boutique shopping abounds. The apartment itself is small but cleverly organized. It could use a good maintenance overhaul. The tiles in the shower are coming out and the shelves in the laundry/pantry area have the wood veneer coming off. There are no mugs in the kitchen and I couldn't get the coffee machine to work. But these were all minor annoyances that were well made up for by the location.
We loved this place! We stayed here for a week in December and it was a fantastic place to stay in the centre of Paris for a relaxing holiday. It is within walking distance from everything - Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. - in the heart of Saint Germain and there are several metro stops only 1 minute walk away. You're right next door to a huge bakery (prepare for fresh, warm croissant and baguette every morning!) and there are fruit stands and chocolatiers across the street, a super market next door, as well as all the best restaurants too. You can't get better than this! Although it's close to everything, it's not super touristy in the neighbourhood, so you really feel like a local Parisian here and are not overwhelmed by kitchy shops and pedlars, etc.
The hosts were waiting for us on arrival and were very helpful in making sure our stay was comfortable and that we had all we needed. The amenities were perfect, the apartment is airy with high ceilings and lots of light. The building is very quiet most of the time (Saturday nights you can hear some music from outside, but you'll never get away from that on a weekend in Paris, and it was not excessively loud). The beds are super comfy - we had the most restful sleep in a very long time here - and the shower is huge and spa-like. There's a coffee machine and lots of cooking tools to use so you could easily self-cater the entire time.
The only few things I would say could be improved was that I couldn't find any large mugs to have a cup of tea in, but we just used the glasses and made do. I also found the laundry machine was very loud and a little scary to use (sounded like it was going to explode or something when it was running) and might need an upgrade, but it washed our clothes fine, so really just a minor thing. Another very minor thing missing that could be helpful for future tenants to have was a bread knife (for all the delicious baguettes you'll eat), some smaller paring knives for chopping/pealing, and a knife sharpener.
Needless to say, we highly recommend this rental, and will gladly stay here again on future trips to Paris!
