“Wonderful apartment for our stay in Paris”

Beautiful, comfortable, clean apartment. We loved our stay in Paris. Have been to Paris many times but this is the first time in renting an apartment and will definitely do this again, and would happily stay in this wonderful flat.
Owner greeted us with lots of advice and information.
Very quiet apartment, comfortable beds where we all slept well after busy days walking around Paris. Fantastic location. 10 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower and less than 5 minutes to Les Invalides. Boulangerie 100 yards away. 5 mins from Metro but walkable to centre of Paris. 10 minutes from the river Seine.
Would definitely recommend.

“Well located comfortable apartment”

This apartment is fabulous - both in its amenities and location. It is exactly as pictured. Rafic is a very helpful landlord who has prepared relevant maps and information that he sends prior to your trip. Once there, he is a font of knowledge and very keen to help in any way that he can. The apartment is very well located with regard to patisseries, grocery stores, restaurants/bistros and the metro. It is possible to walk to a number of attractions including the Eiffel tower and the Rodin, army and Orsay museums. The arrondissement in general is a great neighbourhood for a Parisian stay.

“Comfortable and Charming with a Wonderful Host”

My 9 year old daughter and I enjoyed a few spring days in this lovely apartment. We loved the elegant and cozy atmosphere, with it's colorful artwork and many mementos and interesting objects from the host's own travels. The beds and linens were high quality and super comfy. The bath and shower were clean and stylish, also with quality linens. In the kitchen, the hosts have included everything that you could need to take care of some simple meals, make coffee or tea, toast a croissant ;) The apartment is in a secure building, located in a quiet, elegant neighborhood which is just a short walk to the Eiffel tower, lovely parks, the list goes on and on... Rafic was the best host!! He provided us with maps and books, advice about places to shop, eat, relax... DO NOT MISS the car tour which Rafic offers, it was one of the highlights of our trip!!! We toured the city at the perfect time in evening, saw and photographed so many of Paris' most important monuments, churches, bridges, etc, lit up at night, and Rafic told us all about the history, architecture, neighborhood distinctions, customs, and poeple...My daughter returned home telling wonderful stories about the city that she wouldn't have been interested in otherwise, and of course I learned a lot, too. The tour really brought the city to life for us!

Thank you Rafic and Jasmine for sharing not just your apartment, but your love of city of Paris with us! We will never forget it!

“Disappointed with experience”
Reviewed 9 June 2016 for a stay in April 2016

As others have mentioned this apartment is well located, clean and interestingly decorated. Rafic met us and provided details of the flat and location - we didn't meet Jasmine during our week's stay. Unfortunately we found the kitchen too small and the stove too temperamental (English instructions would be helpful) to utilise the wonderful local market produce as we had intended. The bathroom was also very compact. The door key was a nightmare - too heavy and hard to open - and we were locked out on one occasion - luckily Rafic was home but he had trouble getting us in. However for us the biggest issue was that we arrived very jet lagged from Australia to discover that the apartment below (connected to Rafic) was undergoing major renovations that included jack hammering and constant banging from 8am to 6pm! Impossible to rest during the daytime and the stairway and entry were covered in dust. We had not been pre-warned about this and no reduction in rent was offered. Further Rafic found it necessary to enter the apartment on a number of occasions, including once when we were not there and once with a tradesman who totally ignored us even following me into the bedroom. We felt a total lack of privacy. Sorry not the Paris experience we had hoped for.

Management Response
10 Jun 2016
Hello Julia and Ron,

First of all, we want you to know that we are very sorry to hear that you have had a disappointing experience during your stay with us and we deeply regret that all these trouble happened at the time of your vacation.

For the sake of appropriateness, we want to offer you a partial refund on the rental cost, if this can restore a little bit your disappointment. We'll call you this weekend to find a way.

For 4 years that we welcome travelers, this is the first time that our guests have to live so many unpleasant events. We hope that you would believe that all of this is completely beyond our control. Also, It is not our practice to enter the apartment when it's busy, but to repair some things, we really had no choice.

The entry door and the heater in the bedroom are now repaired and the apartment under renovation of our neighbor is almost done. The instructions were in the drawer. For your information, the kitchen and bathroom are considered good sizes for a 50 square meters Parisian flat in a 100 years old building.

Jasmine really regrets not to have taken the time this week, because her dad was in the hospital at that time.

We hope to have the chance to see you again one of these days under better conditions.

Meanwhile, we wish you all the best.

Warmest regards,

Jasmine and Rafic
