“Excellent Location and a Beautifully Presented Apartment”

We had an amazing stay. The apartment is only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Louvre and is really centrally located that it is walking distance to a majority of the major attractions. There is a major supermarket, Monoprix, only 5 or so minutes walk away, while there is a great bakery just around the corner. Restaurants are all around. It is certainly in a beautiful area. The apartment has all that you may want. After travelling for a couple of weeks it was great to be able to use the apartments washing machine and dryer. All the appliances are in excellent condition. It is light and airy and even though too cold for us to use, the balcony was a lovely feature. Everything want smoothly re: getting keys etc. We met with Maxim who explained and showed us around the apartment. In the apartment is an instruction manual with everything you would want to know about not only the apartment but any information you may need during your stay. A lovely touch was the bottle of red wine on the table for us. The only downside was that it was a little noisey on the Saturday night on the street outside but it did not last too long. If we return to Paris we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautifully decorated, centrally located apartment with real Parisian charm. Comfortable bed and sofa. Everything was perfect. Close to metro and easy to get to the best places Paris has to offer. Great shopping and restaurants nearby.

Liked least: Wish more bath towels were provided. I believe it's the norm in Paris rentals.

“More Space, More Amenities, Location Make this a TEN”
Reviewed 3 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

What I loved about this apartment:
More than adequate cupboard and closet space with tall mirror inside one closet door.
Great Internet and Wifi
Separate toilet room from shower room and wash sink
Quiet bedroom in back of apartment can be closed off for privacy
Tall windows in front of apartment for light and air
Abundant Hot water for showers and fast; huge shower head
Lush and plentiful towels
Large refrigerator; cooktop with three burners; electric kettle
Lots of dinnerware, glasses, silverware and cooking utensils
Lots of guidebooks, maps, map books, metro maps, and museum brochures
Easy booking and communication with owner
Easy checkin and instructions for apartment from rental agency
Dining table for four a step down from kitchen
Hangers, Iron, ironing board, and umbrellas (which we used)
One flight of stairs to apartment front door
Two AC units (which we did not need; plenty of cool air from windows in September and at night closed all windows for quiet, peaceful sleep)
Excellent lighting in apartment for reading, cooking and in shower/wash room with mirror.
Location is right off St. Germaine Blvd. and less than a block to university so lots of cafes and sandwich shops catering to students; easy to walk to metro, bus stops, even to Louvre; lots of shopping in the area, glacé, sorbet, chocolatier, clothing, dish ware, souvenirs, restaurants open all hours of the night, Monoprix, Wow -- you lack for nothing! Even Luxembourg Gardens and Tuillerie Gardens you can walk to (20+ minutes).

Cons:
If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, keep the windows closed as smoke will drift up from the people smoking in the street outside restaurants below and even from other apartments on the upper floors
A broken mechanism in the sofa (bed) meant it didn't close entirely which meant you needed lots of pillows for back support; if this had been fixed, the sofa would have been super comfortable as a sofa
Microwave is a combination convection oven and we were only shown one speed, HI, so limited usefulness unless you wanted to use it on HI for everything.
Unless you have used a combo washer/dryer before, not easy to understand how to wash and dry clothes in the same machine. We ended up drying clothes when we thought we were washing, and then washing clothes when we thought we were drying, then getting lots of soap on a cycle we thought was a dry cycle and had not put any soap in the machine, we eventually just rinsed out our things in the sink. Maybe our fault on this one.
A step up from living area to kitchen/bath area with step down to bedroom means being vigilant to avoid tripping.

The cons are minor and the Pros far outweigh them. We felt blessed to have such a great apartment and having speedy Wifi helped us plan our days, finding bus routes on Google maps, researching restaurants and museums. We picked up great sandwiches and had on hand in refrigerator for lunches and snacks and stocked up on melons, juice and milk from the Monoprix. The umbrella was a life saver as it rained four of the eleven days. We could not have been happier with our apartment.

“Great Location - Chic Apartment”
Reviewed 17 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Stayed here with my husband for three nights at the end of three week trip travelling around France. Having visited Paris a few times before I wanted to stay in the St Germain district as I think this is the best area for walking around and soaking up the wonderful Parisien atmosphere, where you can eat in great, authentic French restaurants (and as eating in one of our hobbies, the location was important).
On the first night we were very tired and ate at the restaurant opposite the apartment, a small Italian, serving local quisine. It was great and afterwards we only had to cross the road and walk up one flight of steps. We had a great night's sleep as the bedroom is located at the back and very quiet. Although small, the bedroom is great and the bed very comfortable. We didn't use the back courtyard as the weather wasn't great but in the Summer when it's hot it would be ideal to sit outside for breakfast etc. The kitchen is well equipped as is the bathroom, and I spent the afternoons on the sofa reading, with a nice glass of wine by my side (provided by the owner - thank you Iris). Yes I could have rushed around seeing things but I found Paris rather crowded, and having been there before, had been around most of the tourist sights. The only place we went to was the Rodin Gallery, which is fabulous. Overall a great choice, although not if you have children.

“Spacious, well equipped apartment in a great neighbourhood!”

This was a great find! There were 3 of us that stayed in this lovely apartment in the St Germain area. The apartment had everything we needed...including a bottle of wine on arrival, which was much appreciated! The whole experience from booking with Iris, to the property manager who met us at the apartment, was very organized and professional.
We found many great restaurants and bars in this neighbourhood, we ate close to "home" each night. This area is busy and vibrant but the apartment was quiet at night. It is also within walking distance of many great sites, including the Louvre.
I hope to come back!
Thanks again Iris and team!
