Description: The third owners - since June 2018 - of the restaurant La Poule au Pot, a Parisian institution that has been open for more than 80 years, Élodie and Jean-François Piège have imagined a menu that is part of France's culinary heritage through the generosity of bourgeois cuisine - emblematic of French savoir-vivre from the 19th century until the 1950s - which is reflected in these dishes. A convivial state of mind which is reflected in the place, refreshed, but left, as one of the characteristics of its dishes, "in its juice", typical of the 30s.

We had a fantastic evening at La Poule au Pot. We met up with a couple of friends who were in Paris for the first time. This was a great restaurant to experience some beautifully prepared French food. The staff were funny and friendly. We were lucky that it wasn't too busy so it wasn't noisy at all. It was a great night with delicious French food and wine.

Fantastic smoked herring salad and an incredible chutney, goat cheese and chorizo crostini, very good carpaccio and pasta with camembert and truffled mortadella. Pasta a bit overdone for Italian standards but overall delicious. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

This is a great little restaurant, with really good food, good atmosphere, and a good wait staff. My wife had the Nicoise Salad and I had Liver (not the most common combination). We were both impressed, and the creme brûlée dessert was the best I've ever had.

We found this place by chance when looking for restaurants still open after 1am. The staff were inviting and very friendly. The place is loaded with old world charm and is extremely cozy.

Our food was excellent - entrées, lamb shank, au gratin soup, creme brûlée and apple tart and we feel confident recommending this for a memorable meal. (Paired with some very good wine)

Word to the wise - this is not a budget location, our meal ran to about €150 but was worth every penny.

Two nights into our most recent Paris trip, a girlfriend and I found ourselves awaking from what was supposed to be a nap at midnight. We decided to make the most of the night- and hit the town about a half hour later. Following a recommendation from a friend who had lived in Paris, we headed to La Loule au Pot with a lovely Uber driver who was willing to wait it out in case we wouldn't be sat at that late hour. Not only where we seated promptly (and were not the only table dinning at this late hour), but we had fantastic service from both the bar and the wait staff. I ate off the specials menu and my friend had the goat cheese salad and duck. The wine, the atmosphere and the after dinner cordial were all perfect. The staff was even willing to order us a car service after dinner which we took out to go hit up some late night recommendations for dancing. It was a perfect Midnight in Paris moment.
