First, be patient with the line which we could see from in front of unknown building. But after waiting patiently, it was like an adventure to the Africa. Its interior was very unique. There was no entrance fee but you just need to give them a donation sincerely. They served food with only few menus, but mine was very delicious! Something that made me little bit confuse was every bar has different drinks, so make sure you know what do u want to drink and where is it

This place is just an unbelievable find in the heart of Paris. In a city where space is usually at a premium, to enter into this lost world of foliage is quite extraordinary, I've never seen anything quite like it!

During the day it's an African museum. In the night time it's an African bar. So cool, great vibes, great atmosphere, great people. I lived in Paris for a while and this place became one of my favorites spots. Definitely a must see if you're in Paris, specially at the night time to go for a drink.

This place is full of white Hipsters who couldn't be more clueless. I was embarrassed to see this place jammed with so much privilege sitting on it's tail end, sipping expensive coffee.

I went there on a recommendation from my Sister. But it sounds like we visited 2 different places. She was there in August of 2011. It had perhaps just opened and they had some inspirational goals. Clearly they have fallen short. It's just a gathering place for rich kids.

This place is tucked away in a beautiful part of Paris. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, staff are all bilingual so it's easy for non French speakers and it's really a one of a kind place. A ghetto art museum crossed with a cafe, bars, African thrift store, music venue...difficult to exactly describe but 100% worth a visit if you prefer culture to tourist traps. Entrance is pay as you feel, inside has an quirky old world charm but a really modern vibe. Also a great chance to try some African influenced French classics which are a big and underrated part of the history here. Make some time to visit and you won't regret it. I was so in awe I barely took photos.

It's also a good idea to look around some surrounding places like République, Bastille and La Marais which are all pretty close so you can make a day trip of it. Go and enjoy, you won't regret it!
