We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. It was like having a VRBO in Paris with daily service. We walked to most major attractions with the exception of the Eiffel Tower, which would have been an hour long walk to get there. The location of this hotel is interesting, as it’s right on the border of the 5th and 6th. I would say that it felt more like the 5th to us, and it seemed close to a lot of restaurants and bars that were popular with the student crowd. We were easily able to find restaurants nearby that suited us, and all of our favorite places in the 6th were about a 5 minute walk away. In terms of the room, we chose the 1 bedroom Charmeur and it was exactly as pictured. The hotel provides robes, slippers, and a fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen includes a combination washer and dryer unit. I had to google the model number to find a manual, but otherwise it worked well, if slowly as compared to American machines. There’s also a full laundromat next door if you simply have to do massive amounts of laundry. In terms of improvement: the TV options are limited and it’s impossible to pair your iPhone for casting. Not like we were in the room to watch TV, but we noticed the absence after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom has limited shelving. Also, yes, the elevator is small but I have seen much worse in Paris, so it wasn’t a problem for us. We did hear a lot of loud people in the stairway but thankfully the noise didn’t last. There’s also noise from people congregating in the open air lobby, and it’s a neighborhood so you’ll hear from the residents to an extent. None of these issues were dealbreakers for us and we would highly recommend this hotel. All in all it was a fantastic location and we would stay again.
