The apartment is in a quiet and beautifully maintained gated community. It seems a world away from the busy area of Montmartre. It is a wonderful area to stay, close to the metro with tons of restaurants and shops a short walk away. The apartment itself is a walkout on the lower level of a 3 story home that has it's own private fenced-in garden with greenery for privacy. It is a perfect size for two people with a comfortable bed, small divan and 2 chairs for extra seating, spacious bathroom and a small kitchen that is suitable for casual meals, but not major cooking. We appreciated all of the objets d'art and decor with a lot of Parisian flair. The owner, Christophe, could not be a kinder person. We had confidence in him from the beginning as he is a good communicator and is eager to make certain that everything goes smoothly. He was always ready to be attentive, but also maintained and respected our privacy. Overall we were extremely delighted to stay here and will be back in the future.
Great apartment in the Montmartre area, downstairs from the home of Christophe, a perfect host. The booking and planning was extremely efficient, Christophe is perfect to deal with. The location in Montmartre is excellent, an area I have stayed in before, very secure and you will feel like part of the community. The apartment is within a collection of buildings which has linked security, it could be described as a gated community but is more of a community - walking about freely with no traffic, just a great Parisienne lifestyle. There are many great restaurants nearby which Christophe will glady tell you about.
The apartment is as described in the overview, studio style with basic but functional kitchen and quite a large bathroom, including a tub. The bed is very comfortable and there is a small sofa and small tv. There is a private entrance to the apartment via a little courtyard at the front, perfect for a drink or rest after a day exploring.
Whilst the apartment is as described some of the older reviews suggest a larger apartment, I think this must relate to times when the whole house was made available. It is perfectly functional as a studio apartment with the basic facilities needed for your stay, including microwave, hotplates, mini-bar fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher and utensils. The kitchen has a small table that seats two.
Christophe is an excellent host, very accommodating.
I would be happy to stay again.
A green oasis in Montmartre. Great location perfect for our brief visit to Parls.
There is a good pattisiere on the corner of rue Lepic and rue Abbesses to sit and people watch.....good coffee as well.
We stayed at Villa les Acacias for four nights in October 2015. Through the pictures and user reviews we had made our mind that this was the place we wanted for our stay in Paris. Well, now that we have experienced the place, it is fair to say that it really has exceeded our expectations!
To start with, Christophe Tomassin the owner, is a wonderful person. He contacted me a few days before our stay to make sure that everything was right and to offer his assistance with our arrival and with whatever questions or needs we had. He told us about restaurants, places to visit around, answered all our questions and, even, booked our taxi drive back to the airport. Really a class act.
With regards to the house, because it is actually a whole house, well is is outstanding! Not only it is fully equipped for your stay but it is also decorated with great taste and attention to detail. You feel at home right from first minute you get there. The whole Villa les Acacias area is gated, so you feel secure even when you are right in the heart of Montmartre (Le Moulin Rouge is a short walk away!).
To summ it up: WE LOVED OUR STAY!
I travelled to Paris with two friends and booked Villa des Acacias practically 2 days before our arrival so we were quite worried about the timing! Christophe responded to my request straight away ( unlike some other owners of the advertised properties even with sky hight rental prices!!), answered all the questions and the booking was very smooth and easy.
It is very easy to get to the property, the underground is only 3 min of walk, the area is great- very picturesque, authentic with a huge amount of cafes, restaurants, shops etc...I don't understand why some people would want to stay somewhere 200m from the Eiffel Tower or l'Arc de Triomphe, paying just for the priviledge of being in the middle of the crasy crowds of tourists? You can go there ( still about 15-30 min to walk to the very centre of Paris), spend a day exploring and then come back to the serenity of this place ( by the way - very secure, as this this particular cul de sac is gated!), an oasis in the very heart of Montmartre, have a glass of wine in a little private garden and unwind!
Christophe was a very charming and helpful host. We loved EVERYTHING about the villa ( from the great look, design, pieces of art and space to crispy fresh linen and comfortable beds!) and the area.
Would defintely recommend!!!
Thank you very much Chris, I'll be definitely back one day!
