Description: The Sunken Chip is the first and only fish and chip shop in Paris. Started in the summer of 2013, the crew of the Sunken Chip provide the freshest fish, delivered each day, with true thick cut English Chips and our famous mushy peas!

The fish & chips was really tasty, presentation was perfect for a lunch time meal. The portion size was just right and I left feeling satisfied.
The batter was crispy and the haddock succulent and flaky, the chips were a perfect golden brown colour just the way I like them. The mushy pea puree was different in texture compared to marrow-fat peas cooked with pea green and steeping tablets, I suppose it's what I'm used to back in the UK, that said they were tasty and another diner who I noticed was an American also complimented the staff on the peas and his meal...Next time in Paris I will go again

For me the best place to get fish and chips. 3/4 menus really affordable (14/16E). Fish is always fresh and well prepared. The place is small so only few tables are available and they don't take reservations, that means that sometimes you have to wait to get in. but now you can get delivered by several services

Better than a good deal of British fish and chip shops, this is more than a pastiche - though the wall-to-wall Britpop is a little bizarre. The fish is really fresh. Don't expect your usual chipshop fare. They had Dorade and Salmon when we were there. Peas are more crushed than mushy and all the better for it. Portions are a sensible size for one person to eat. Very nice fresh tartare sauce. A mug of tea on the side. Expensive, but probably in line with your more upmarket fish and chip shops. After a week of delightful macarons and bistrots, this made quite a change!

Appropriately located on Rue des Vinaigrieres (Vinegar street), The Sunken Chip serves fried fresh halibut, monkfish cheeks, etc. with fries or salad. The tartare sauce was rich and tasty but the fish was deliciously sweet on its own. The lemon curd offered as a dessert option was tangy, creamy and perfectly tiny. Reasonably priced lunch menu. It is located near Canal St. Martin which has been dredged, a once every 15 years, not to be missed event.

I recommend the salad guys! I took one menu with chips and one menu with salad for 30 euros (15 euros each complete menu w/o dessert). Never try fish and chips before so i can't really compare it
