“Excellent location, perfect for a big group”

Six friends spent a week at this magnificent apartment and it was perfect! It was our "home base" for exploring Paris. It is beautifully appointed yet comfortable, private and quiet. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere-so close to Notre Dame, St. Chappelle, Rue de Rivoli, Picasso Museum and Ile St. Louis. It was nice to have breakfast from local boulangerie and come back after a long day and relax around the dining room table with purchases from the nearby covered market and wine shops. The beds were comfortable and water pressure fabulous with plenty of hot water for all six of us to take showers in the am.

We loved our home away from home in Paris and will definitely be back!!!!

We are delighted that Vivaldi turned out to be your perfect Paris "home away from home". We loved hearing that you enjoyed the neighborhood as much as we do, and that you took advantage of all the great museums and sites nearby, and then enjoyed gathering for dinners at home as well as out. Thank you for writing.

“Perfect family holidays”

Spent a week on a family reunion, we where 9 people of different ages and there was plenty of space for all of us without feeling crowded. Very nice apartment in two floors with all the commodities and really clean. Very conveniently situated as it is at walking distance from Notre Dame, the Lovre, Pompidou and many other important places to visit. Super holidays and all of us together! There´s a big common patio where the kids could run around and play. Many food shops nearby so it was easy to plan the meals. I highly recommend it for big families.

“Perfect Location”

Vivaldi is a gorgeous apartment and perfectly located for the various day trips different individuals in our group wanted to take. I loved being in the heart of the city and within walking distance to almost everything I could possibly want to do. As someone who works in design professionally, I was super excited to be right next to the Paris offices of Molyneux and V. Fraas. The stay was amazing.

Also, hats off to our greeter. She made sure all our questions were answered (and that took quite a while).

An oasis of tranquility in the middle of a bustling Paris neighborhood, full of culture, history and bistros. Easy commuting to all the city's boroughs.
Comfortable, spacious and beautifully appointed. The best flat I have ever stayed in Paris yet.
Would definitely recommend. Will be back!
Thank you!

“Beware of this listing”

The lower level (2 bedrooms and a living room) is a subterranean basement with no windows. The ventilation is poor. All bathrooms are all interior also with poor ventilation. Only one of the so-called master bedrooms upstairs has a bath adjacent. This bedroom is also interior and has no exterior windows. The other master bedroom uses a bath off the kitchen. The only operable window is the front door to the courtyard. You are not allowed to use or sit in the courtyard. The circular stair is treacherous especially with luggage. To use the garden you must exit to the street and use another entrance. The washer dryer was useless with no instructions. We asked for instructions on arrival and did not receive. One of the two ceiling fans did not function. We were told for additional ventilation to buy additional fans and be reimbursed. There is also a vented floor drain in the dining room either for sewer or grey water. Our stay was tolerable but we would not recommend this apartment. It is not worth the price.

FYI: In accordance with most US most building codes and the International Building Code, three of the four bedrooms would be illegal as they have no exterior windows for emergency egress and access. Is this different under French law? Whatever the law is in France, it should be noted that these bedrooms are not considered safe or legal in the US.

So many people have loved this beautifully decorated, spacious apartment. It is unfortunate that you did not feel the same. It is rare to find a 4 bedroom apartment and more rare to find one with 3 bathrooms. We do describe the two masters as each having its own, dedicated bathroom, and I am always clear that one is en-suite and one adjacent. For most people this seems fine. The two Masters are on a spacious, and well lit floor, with a large full wall window and glass door. The second level is below ground , but its huge and high vaulted, stone ceilings are about as romantic as it gets, and so typical of old Paris. This floor has been meticulously restored. Though the bedrooms, as you say, do not have windows, they are generally regarded as a great place to sleep with high quality bedding and great lighting. Families love it as the kids have their own floor and own living room. Bathrooms have ventilation, and there are fans available.Guests who miss windows during the day are during the day are happy in the upstairs sitting room with its wide window wall, or they can go the garden. This apartment does have a lovely private garden via the other entrance off the street, which guest are welcome to use. You were given the code at arrival, and in the detailed Guest note which you were sent ahead of time. It is too bad that you did not take advantage of this. It is a rare thing, and far better than a deck or balcony. The circular staircase is clearly pictured on our site and this one. I find the word "treacherous" totally inappropriate, but if people have problems with stairs, then they can easily put the less spry upstairs. They would have no need to go to the lower floor. Also, a quick email to our offices or a call to your Greeter and we would have been happy to troubleshoot the washing machine with you if we'd known they had troubles. FYI, this building s a French Historic monument and all work is strictly controlled. Everything done here has passed rigorous requirements. I would rather walk 20 meters to a large wide door, than exit a 30 story window in a high-rise hotel, which you call a second exit!
Our prime interest is to provide great accommodation and have happy Guests. We feel that we did provide the former. I wish that we had been able to make you happy, too.
