My wife and I stayed in the Grande Trocadero for a two week vacation in Paris in September 2014. This was our first trip to Paris, and we had selected the Grande Trocadero for our accommodation earlier this year after an extensive online search of Parisian apartments available for rent. We were not disappointed at all in either the apartment or the neighborhood; both exceeded our expectations and really helped to enhance our Parisian experience.
The apartment was exactly as depicted in the Trip Advisor photographs; extremely clean with everything we needed for a two week stay (such as a corkscrew, kitchen utensils, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, towels, linens, silverware and dishes, etc). The washing machine and the landline phone were wonderful to have at our disposal. The WiFi in the apartment worked perfectly for our laptop and iPhones. Our landlord Joe was very gracious and helpful both at the start of our stay and when questions arose later on in vacation. The apartment is small -- about 25 square meters -- however the two of us did not feel cramped here. The living space is comfortable and very pleasantly decorated. The apartment itself is extremely quiet - we rarely heard or saw any neighbors, and didn't really hear any street noise as the windows of the apartment open onto an interior courtyard. One of the favorite times of our day was walking back home from the Trocadero metro stop, turning the corner onto Rue Benjamin Franklin, and then suddenly all became quiet and peaceful.
We highly recommend the Grande Trocadero; it was a wonderful place to stay for two weeks in Paris.
