We loved Sandrine Voillet's BBC series on Paris and were so excited to learn that she leads private tours. The three of us were only in Paris for one week and on Tuesday Sandrine took us through the Musée Rodin and on Thursday on a walking tour through the history of the Marais ending in the Place des Vosges. This is the best possible way to enrich your visit to the French capital, Sandrine is so knowledgable and entertaining about French art and history. Both days were the highlights of our trip. We can't wait to go back and ask the lovely Sandrine to take us through the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay.
Sandrine is a brilliant guide: not only does she know Paris inside out, but she is vivacious, witty and charming. She was very generous with her time and we felt we were out with a friend. We visited areas of Paris we would never have found for ourselves and lived the history of them through her eyes. We emailed her with our interests and she suggested two walks, one of the 19th century covered passages of Paris, ending in the Opera Garnier and the other around Montmartre’s hidden alleys and places where artists and musicians met. We couldn’t decide which one would be best, so took them both. They were unforgettable and a highlight of our time in Paris. If you are interested in music, art, history, architecture and quirky places don’t miss the experience of a walk with Sandrine in Paris. Watch the 3 programs she made for the BBC and, like us, you will want to meet her and take a tour.
Upon seeing a 3-part BBC-produced program on Paris featuring Sandrine Voillet, we did an internet search and found that she also did tours of Paris. For our November 2012 trip to Paris, we contacted Sandrine via her website. She was very responsive to our e-mailed questions, offered many great suggestions, and planned an itinerary based on our interests. Upon meeting Sandrine in person, we found her to be not only knowledgeable but also charming and funny. It felt like we had our own insider connection to Paris. She also introduced us to the absolute best macaroons in Paris – Pierre Herme!
We highly recommend Sandrine for a customized tour to meet your needs!
