Really enjoyed dinner here with my wife and daughter. The hostess/waitress/owner did a great job of making us feel welcome in our first dinner out in Europe. She spoke English well, and steered us deftly toward a Sancerre to drink that was perfect for our meal. We spoke to her a lot that night and were really impressed by their philosophy of taking care of their team, not overbooking and making sure the food and service are top notch.
The chef serves the food with bravado and focus. The dishes are artfully presented in a very unique style. My trubot was perfectly cooked, with a delicious skin on top and golden brown crust on the bottom. Every bite was moist and flavorful.
We all enjoyed our dinners, but the dessert was the superstar. As mentioned, the apple tart is amazing. Not a dish I would normally get excited about, but the crust is divine, the apples go perfectly with it and the caramel sauce adds a kick if you want it. I also loved the chocolate lava cake - rich, chocolatety and smooth.
