This is a great place to base your stay in Paris as there are nice hotels in the area just a short walk away. The Trocadero has nice restaurants. They are obviously catering to the tourist but have pleasant menus with reasonable prices and are very convenient. Being in the Trocadero affords perfect pictures of the Eiffel tower, the water fountains and other scenery. It is also the best place to get pictures of the tower at night when it is illuminated as well as when the lights twinkle every hour on the hour.

It's a grande place, from here you get the best view of Eiffel Tower, especially at night, when it is illuminated.
When you visit the Eiffel Tower, start from here and then walk down to the Tower. (Use Trocadero metro station /bus stop /L'Open Tour stop)

Try to visit at night time also, I loved the atmosphere there!

if you looking for the best view of the Eiffel Tower, you must visit the Trocadero. You will be able to get that perfect picture of you with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Most of the tour buses stop here which makes it a stop that is hard to miss. You also get a birds eye view of a bit more of Paris. absolutely spectacular views! One thing you must do at the Trocadero, is try the nutella crepe from the food vendor on the side! It is divine, the freshly made crepe with the chocolate nutella melting in you mouth while looking at one of the most beautiful sites in the world - heavenly!

This is where you come for the ultimate view of the Eiffel Tower. Big huge art exhibition buildings with art museums inside. There are many vantage points for to take your pictures of the Eiffel Tower. Many street hawkers here selling water and Eiffel Tower souvenires - they can be a pain but theys ell the same tower statues that are on sale in the Tower gift shop for a fraction of the price.
Make the time and come here for the view and then walk over to the tower across the SEine. An absolute must-do in Paris.

is what I felt when if get the top area of Trocadero, Paris, and I wee the Eiffel Tower with the gardes just in front of me, well i finally get here, and Im watching a view that thousands times have been overshown in the media, and what i did feell? A mix of emotion and deception, the first cos is really beautiful the sight, and the second, cos is not as beautiful waching that in an overcrowded area with people from all over the world, trying to catch the same photo than you and pushing everyone to get a place in the lookout. It worth the visit, the easiest way to get is from the Seine just to the floors, and the other by metro just in the Trocadero station is the view at your feet once you left the sation.
