The show was good but was repetitive and didn’t follow any story line. The acts in between the dance routines were very entertaining. Staff at the venue were polite and friendly but didn’t offer to take our drink orders after the first drink.
This was a good way to spend the evening. The staff was helpful and friendly. The show was entertaining.
Along with others from our tour group, my wife and I went to the show with dinner. We found some of the food presented in an unusual fashion. The first course was a salad with leaf lettuce. Next was the entree, which was salmon with a white sauce and tartar sauce, a round spinach patty, and a round potato and veggie bundle. The third course was a cheese plate, with Swiss cheese and three other white cheeses. The dessert was a plate with three different kinds of ice cream with some sort of crunchy stuff on top. One of the three might have been chocolate mousse.
The show was fast-paced and mostly entertaining. There was lots of dancing and singing (perhaps lip-synced), with some nudity. The acts were as follows: two guys juggling and passing Indian clubs between each other. One part of their act involved a "volunteer" from the audience. The next act was a guy who appeared to be either drunk or deranged. His talent involved balancing on things that rolled. He also got a volunteer at one point. Next came a guy dressed and face-painted all in white. This turned out to be a soundless puppet act that was really different and strange, at least to us. Finally, there was a dancing contest involving four volunteers from the audience. I turned down the opportunity to be one of the four, thank goodness.
Bottom line: good food, interesting acts, some good song and dance. Overall a fun evening.
The Nouvelle Eve show was actually not bad however unfortunately most of the cast members were very unwelcoming and unprofessional! We felt belittled and unappreciated upon talking with the cast and we hope one day they will grow and mature to appreciate the audience and treat them as equals. Thankyou very much for having us but unfortunately these issues made the experience regrettable unenjoyable for us regardless of the talent shown on stage.
We had booked & paid for dinner & show through Viator. It stated on the advertisement that you would have a three course meal & half a bottle of champagne each. Viator never gave us the address apart from to meet in Montmartre so we had to call the theatre to get the address ( this costs a lot using our Australian phone). We arrived at the instructed time of 6:30pm to have the pre show dinner and found most people arrive much later & that the smart people eat somewhere else first. The service was great - the waiters were really nice. To say that the food is very disappointing is an understatement. These were the smallest serves of the worst food I had ever had. I chose the salad entree - a few lettuce leaves on a plate and then bubble & squeak for vegetables and a sliver of salmon for main. Later you receive very small slices of some nice cheese & later again, one and a half small scoops of ice cream. There were three bottles - all opened on the table so that you could serve your own drinks. One bottle of both white & red wine and a bottle of water. In Australia it is not acceptable to present the wine already opened in a restaurant as you have no proof that it is the original wine. The white was okay - a 2018 Chardonnay & the red was very very bad indeed - we couldn’t drink it. We were given a small glass of sparkling wine ( not champagne!) during the second half of the show. The show however is excellent! I had actually been here 12 years ago & the show was outstanding then. I won’t spoil it for you but it is a fine example of cabaret (although the lead female performer lacks charisma) but all the others are a high energy and very very talented dancers & acrobats. There’s a comedy clown who stole the show - he was hilarious! Be warned gentleman they chose three of you to get up on stage and this provided a lot of laughs for the audience. So skip the food & have some lovely wine and food somewhere else and you’ll have a great night! The seating is good & so is the ambience!
We did not want a las-Vegas style show such as the one in Lido.
This small, old theater provided the right atmosphere.
We had the dinner plus the show. The dinner was not great, food was not good by French standards and the tables are tiny.
The show was excellent: the dancers are good professionals. We enjoyed the comedians between dance numbers. There is audience participation.
