The location is the best part about this hotel. It's a stone's throw from the Chatelet metro station, and an easy 15 minute walk to several Paris points of interest including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre museum.
Our room on the second floor had windows that opened onto the street below and the view of the Parisian buildings was very pretty. The hotel itself is small but comfortable with an elevator that barely fits two people, and rooms that are pretty much taken up entirely by the double bed. But our bathroom was a pleasant surprise- it was much larger than expected, with a nice bathtub/shower combo and lots of storage space.
Breakfast was very French, with baguette, croissant, fruit, coffee and juice. It was served in the hotel's basement- which is windowless with concrete walls and a small kitchenette. But after our first venture down there, it became kind of charming and we enjoyed the meal.
There is a grocery store with many great fresh products, and wine!- next door. Very convenient.
For the location and the bathroom, this hotel was a gem. The space is small, but it was clean and cozy,

Room Tip: The second floor had better views than the first.

My mum and I stayed in a twin room for 4 nights. As others have mentioned, the hotel is only average but the location is fantastic as you are within walking distance to some of the main sights such as the Louvre & Notre Dame. There is also a main metro station (Chatelet Les Halles) just at the end of the street which made getting to and from the airport, Disneyland and other main sights really easy. The room was clean but the shower could do with a good scrub as it had mould all up the sides. We found the men at the front desk to not be overly helpful but there was a lady who was there a couple of the mornings and she was lovely and very helpful. We would recommend staying here if you want a cheap and comfortable hotel in a central location but don't stay here if you're after frills and air conditioning or if you are a light sleeper (the noise from the main road kept me awake every night unfortunately).

In our 10 day stay here we saw that there is two sides to this hotel. This is undeniably one of the best locations in Paris - 10 minute walk to the Louve or Notre Dame etc. Five minute walk to the subway and to any location outside of walking distance. In addition if you are a budget traveler like us there is a well stocked grocery store literally next door which also includes very reasonably priced prepared chicken dinners. Also there are numerous bakeries and restaurants in the area. The other side is that the hotel itself is just average. The elevator is small and there is a circular staircase to the upper floors that you need to take cautiously slow and hang on to the handrail. If you have mobility issues you might want to think twice about staying here. The hotel is located just off Rivoli which is a main drag so there is traffic noise until late evening. If it is cool enough, because there is no air conditioning, and you can keep the windows close much of the noise is dampened. If the weather is hot and you need to keep the window open then you might want to have a set of ear plugs. Staff was friendly and attentive in a reactive rather than proactive way. It doesn't seem like the cleaning people check the levels of consumables and refill when they are low because when we arrived there was enough body soap in the shower for just a few squirts. When we informed the desk it was topped off by the time we got back in the evening. So when the toilet paper got low we made sure they were aware that it also need replenishing which was done. The size of the room/shower didn't bother us since it seemed of average European dimensions. So excellent location and average hotel equals 4 stars. Of course if the weather is cooler and you can keep the windows closed this hotel becomes more desirable.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room and got one the furthest away from the traffic noise which was still loud...

the room and elevator are small but suited our needs.
the staff was kind and helpfull, and available 24\7.
they do not have a\c, but in the begining of july it was great.
