Owner description: Perhaps the most famous street in Paris, this wide, tree-lined avenue is home to the city's chic restaurants, shops and boutiques.

How can you go to Paris on not walk down this avenue? It's lined with all top stores and you can look way down the avenue to the new ferris wheel.

We walked this road many times, there is so much to see that you cannot just fast walk it, it has to be strolled along to be believed.

From the Louvre to the Arc de Triumphe, there is a vast concourse of gardens surrounded by Haussmann revival buildings, then there is a stretch of commercial vulgarity known as Champs-Elysees. If you like your name brand shopping inter-mingled with fast-food restaurants, this is for you. If you really want to do high end shopping go to Marais.

The street itself is beautiful but it has become a tourist destination and it feels like it will soon be the French version of Times Square.
