Lovely hotel. We enjoyed being outside of the centre of the city...there was a certain release/relaxation at returning to the attractive and peaceful (yet lively!) area in the evening after a busy day in Paris. With a lovely park and many family friendly restaurants in the immediate vicinity, it was ideal. Within the hotel, we found the staff great and very friendly with our daughter. Table football in the bar, computer game tables in reception...it may be popular as a business hotel, but it was perfect for our family holiday

Quieter location than staying in central Paris but with easy access by Metro to all the sights and for access to the International airport. A variety of little restaurants between hotel and metro station.
Hotel buffett breakfast is excellent choice and quality of food. Excellent service also. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a good shower. The reception staff were helpful and friendly.

We stayed on the outskirts of Paris, the Bercy district. The hotel is unassuming on the outside - once you get past the gorilla :-), but inside the doors - first class service - in many languages. Great breakfast, and the most comfortable beds...... ahh. Stayed here 3 nights before departing for other parts of France, and it was a great decision. Near the Bercy Village, a quaint street of shops and a lot of restaurants, and the Bercy Metro station - perfect for getting to the rest of Paris! And a walk through the Bercy Park is beautiful. A short walk to the Seine, the first night we crossed the bridge to the Left Bank and just walked along the Seine.....

The Pullman Bercy is a great business hotel on the outskirts of Paris with decent sized rooms. It was right across the street from the Bercy Village shopping center, which has some great restaurants and a movie theater. We were also able to get some English cable tv channels, which was a plus for my family.

Laundry tip - We were able to do our laundry across the street at the Adagio Aparthotel in the self service laundry located in the basement. The machines automatically dispensed laundry detergent so we didn't have to find laundry supplies elsewhere. This was a lifesaver! I didn't have to haul my laundry around Paris trying to find a laundromat (laverie).

So this is the perfect place for a non-tourist type stop over in Paris where you have to get from the airport to your hotel easily but you don't want to stay at the airport.

At least by taxi/shuttle or car the route goes around the eastern edge of the city making it a quick and untroubled trip. Lots of pilots and flight attendants stay at this hotel for that reason.

The spoken English is reasonable. Not many foreign tourists stay here because it is not in amongst the main tourist stuff. But having said that you get the real Paris experience because you are not jammed shoulder to shoulder with accents from your own place of origin.

Around 100m from the hotel is a fantastic 'village' comprising several restaurants. But to get to anything else you have to take transport. The hotel looks like it is on the river but you cannot access the Seine from the hotel.

We liked:
- the large rooms (especially by Paris standards)
- that the rooms had an extra door between the main part of the room and the bathroom and door to the hall. This appeared to be there solely for the purpose of sound reduction - which worked really well.
- the location (despite having to take transport to get to anything touristy).

We found:
- the staff to have little to no idea of anything in the area or any tourist things to do. For instance - when I wanted to buy a shaver the staff sent me on a 45 minute goose chase... neglecting to point out (if they even knew it) that a 3 minute one stop bus ride from less than 50m away would take me to a huge Carrefour and Orange Shop and McDonalds.

Room Tip: The higher the better!
