Last of the major Paris parks for us to visit and what a stunning place. Beautiful repurposing of an ancient quarry in the mid-nineteenth century. Not as fancy as the parks in the wealthier western and central arrondisements but very attractive with lovely view over the city. The central folly is worth the climb. Meandering paths, ponds and creeks but really vast sloping lawns for sunning and picnics. A vibrant neighbourhood park, well used by the locals. Park furniture is quite special with cast iron branches and entwined limbs.

Tired of walking and shlepping on the metro? If you have a few hours this is completely worth it. It could be in the center of the Alps, but it's just a short train ride away. Waterfalls, grass, shaded areas. It's a breath of fresh Parisian air. The 19th arr around it is a little seedy, but still worth going out there if you have time and need a few quiet hours.

An island of calm in one of the busiest cities in the world. The landscaping and water features are pleasant and occasionally spectacular. This is not a place to be wowed, like the gardens of Versailles, but rather a place to take a breath and relax. A great spot for a picnic lunch.

However, because of the geography and previous use as a quarry, there are points of interest -- a small cave, waterfalls, a walking bridge over a lake, and great views.

Easily accessible by metro.

The park had a nice amount of green space and was enjoyable for the kids. The waterfall doesn’t exist but other than that it was great.
