For me this was the lesser part of the things available with this ticket - but still very good to see (the army museum ww1 and ww2 bits are very good and a highlight). The 5 other coffins inside the red porphyry outer coffin is impressive - big

It is a very fancy grave of Napoleon. it is nice but nothing I would particularly make an extra effort for. The rest of the museum is amazing though.

To access the Dome Des Invalides or Hotel National des Invalides, you need to buy a ticket for €12 and this included entry to the Musee de l’Armee and all exhibitions on site.

And to see it all, you’ll need a full day. The Dome is accessible by the Musee courtyard at the back of the Dome, as well as from the courtyard in front of the Dome.

Inside the Dome, look for the stairs to the top right and top left to go down and see the lower area and Napoleons tomb.

Impressive to see.

This is the final resting place of Napoleon and some other important folks from the French Empire.

Even in death Napoleon is on display in a grand tomb.

The dome is spectacular, make sure you look up when you visit!
