We celebrated our anniversary at Le Pavillon De La Reine and the experience could not have been nicer. Set back from the bustling street and directly across from Paris' oldest square, Place de Vosges, the hotel welcomes its guests through imperial arches and a charming courtyard to a handsome lobby with two stately sitting areas. We took our daily delectable breakfasts in these rooms where oversized rich sofas greeted us. An incredibly attentive staff catered to our morning needs and after the first morning, our smiling hostess knew exactly how I liked my eggs. Our expansive corner suite was on the third floor with lovely high windows opening out onto the enchanting street. In the evenings, we were often treated to a concert with either an opera singer performing or harpist playing in the archway below our room. We could not say enough about the hotel's extraordinary concierges. Rather than doing our own research, we relied heavily upon the wonderful recommendations of Chef concierge Rudiger Weber and Arnaud Illisca. They assisted us in finding the best restaurants and happily secured seating for many terrific meals during our stay. We look forward to returning to Le Pavillon De La Reine next year; it's the only hotel to stay in Paris.
