I booked Summit tickets over two months ago online. I looked up what time sunset was, and we got our tickets for 8pm so it would be daylight when we got there and evening when we left. Best decision I made!!! The lines were GHASTLY, we walked past one line that made me shudder! With our reserved tickets, we stood in a 4 person line and we were through all the lines and at the Summit in 10 minutes. I wouldn’t do it without the reserved tickets. Who wants to stand in line for 3 hours? Make sure you reserve tickets online in advance and book go sunset!

The Eiffel Tower is well and truely worth the visit! We bought skip the line tickets which seemed to be well worth it! The queue for general entry was huge and we didn’t even go in peak time! We still had to wait in line for approximately “ mins. It was nothing compared the general queue! The view from the second floor was incredible! Could see all of Paris and we got some fantastic photos! Would highly recommend going to the top!

Highly recommend skip the line tickets or combo tours if you can! Our itinerary changed/shortened due to train/SNCF strikes, so one day in Paris. Got to E.T. around 11am, waiting on lines took about 2 hours total (1 to get in the gate, 1 for tickets, 1 for lift to 2nd level). Prepare for wind and few restroom stops! Take coins for public toilets just in case.

You can’t go to Paris and not do the Eiffel Tower. I would recommend booking in advance as the ticket lines were huge and could easily take over an hour. Even with advance tickets the security line can’t be avoided and they are strict on what can and can’t be taken in. Our trip was at 10:30am and by the time we came down at around 12 the lines of people were huge so possibly a morning visit is better. We used a guided tour for the 2nd floor and had access to the summit. As you can imagine you have the most amazing views of Paris and the summit gives you the extra height however if you don’t go that high the 2nd floor is more than enough. Surprisingly once up there it doesn’t feel as busy as it did at the bottom with the lines of people. Don’t bother squeezing in the gift shop in the Tower as there is one at the bottom.... or all the same stuff in Duty free at the airport!!
