Balagan was the best meal & restaurant experience we had during our stay in Paris. We came for lunch and sat at the kitchen bar, the chef and staff were all so sweet and entertaining. We tried many items, all being great, but enjoyed the tahini with homemade bread and beef bruschetta with bone marrow the best. Also had fantastic Israeli wine to pair with the food. Highly recommend!

We had three days of wonderful breakfast at Balagan. Every morning we look forward to the variety of food available.

We also had dinner. Not only was the breads and food outstanding, but the service was professional, attentive and cordial. The music was fun and we even stood up to dance with the staff and other patrons. Our waitress, Lucy, was so pleasant and made our visit very enjoyable. Thank you the all the staff and special thank you to Lucy.

This food is made for instagram, not for happy eating. Lots of effort in presentation, but everything was obviously of low cost and prepared without skill or finesse. Prices are out of control - it is good for people who want to show off to strangers but who also like when the music is so loud they don't have to actually talk to them. Pitiful.

Israeli breakfasts are famous for a wide choice of cheese, herrings and more. So we were certainly looking forward to brunch at Balagan. We had selected brunch by default as it is very hard to get a booking at night.

Great staff. Great food variety. Top quality Israeli wines that compare well to French wines.

But let me talk about the shakshuka, an Israeli egg and tomato dish that I always refuse to order. At Balagan, shakshuka is made differently. They add prawns and calamari. The upshot is an outstanding dish. Well done.

If you want a weekend brunch with a difference, head to Balagan. You will not be disappointed.
