Just a few steps away from the Rue dela Reunion entrance to Pere Lachaise. Typical neighborhood cafe, but with good food with big servings. The magret de canard was good and so was the planche rotisseur (the latter can be shared).

We stopped here for wine and a cheese/ meat plate while we were touring Pere Lachaise. It is just on the outside of the wall between Heloise and Abelard's tomb and the commune wall. Not too far from Jim Morrison's grave. The staff was great with our toddler, and the food was good. The washrooms are surprisingly interestingly decorated. Gotta love Paris' cafes.

Excellent couscous options, with mechoui (lamb), merguez, brouchette in an otherwise typical neighborhood cafe setting.

After a busy day, we came to this informal bar for a last drink before travelling back home. The last drink took several hours because the place makes you feel at home in your local pub. Very friendly and informal ; honest food ; good beers and wines. Sit down, lay back and enjoy the company.

Me and a friend came here after seeing some of the other reviews of the place. And taking the advice to order the Couscous was one of the best decisions we made the entire trip.

Staff were friendly and helpful despite us not knowing french. Menu is easy enough to figure out on your own with a bit of help from google translate. The restraunt has a really interesting and abrstract decor, but is still relaxing and cozy.

When we sat down they brought out complementary water (which for Europe, is rare in my experience) as we figured out what to order. I ordered beef couscous and my friend ordered chicken. The food came out surprisingly quickly, which worried us at first making us think it was just microwaved or something. But it was delicious. It was served as a "self-serve", with a platter of the different meats we ordered, another of the perfectly cooked couscous, another of a stew. At first it confused us that such a meal was served in this manner, but after eating it made sense as me and my friend differed in the 'stew to couscous' ratio.

After the main course we decided to split a dessert, and ordered a slice of Tarte Tatin served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It didn't have the best appearance, but tasted good none the less.

At the end of the night the bill came out to 30€(couscous, tarte tatin, .5L beer, and a glass of wine) which for two people at dinner in Paris isn't bad.

I'm not giving a full 6 on this, because we only had a very small portion of their menu. The also seemed to have a fully stocked bar that we didn't get to try out. But I can definetly say that if you want some great Couscous in Paris, get away from the tourist-traps and go here.
