Went back here recently and it hasn't changed a bit. Full of South Asian restaurants and business like hair cutters. One of the very old passages in Paris.

Mostly Indian and Pakistani restaurants here, some quite good. This is a multi-cultural area, over old and interesting. A bit tattered, but it's very old. Totally safe.

This was the last passage on a self-guided walking tour and it was the most ethically diverse and I have read elsewhere that it could be considered "seedy" and I admit that I foundt he number of young men hanging about intimidating but I am sure that this was just the imagination of a middle-aged tourist.
The arches over the passage were very colourful.
However I don't think I would visit again.

Recently the site of a fashion runway show by Koché (known for finding "underground" sites in the center of Paris for her shows), the Passage du Prado is one of the most cosmopolitan places I've seen in the center of the city -- the closest thing you'll find to Brooklyn in Paris...and a concentration of what you'll find in the surrounding neighbourhood. Within a short walk of the theatre district, the garment district, République (which itself has become a gathering point for various social causes), Arts et Métiers and Montorgueil, the passage is an interesting place to check out if you're in the area.
